Holy shit, TF2 is free? Forever? Wow, there is no reason not to play it now! (Assuming this isn't a hoax.)
|
I think its more like a free trial thing

The ending is awesome.
And I would not have taken Medic for being a fan of birds. |

Well I'll be damned. That was not expected... Also, this has made my day. |
Weapons are up too.
The Quick Fix medigun is there as predicted - Ubercharge increases healing by 300% and grants immunity to movement-impairing effects. It also has a base +40% healing rate, +25% Ubercharge rate and you can move at the same speed as faster targets (scouts, explosives jumping soldiers/demomen?) if you're healing them. No overhealing, though. And I guess no invincibility. The Solemn Vow allows the medic to see enemy health. I guess it's a melee weapon? Wouldn't be able to resist bludgeoning people with a bust of Hippocrates. The Overdose syringe gun boosts movement speed based on your Ubercharge percentage - up to 10% faster. It' does -10% damage, though. |
Damn, that's all upgrades... I don't think that's really sidegrade material save the Solemn Vow.
|
The Quick-Fix doesn't invuln, though
And the Overdose... I'd rather use the Blutsauger. |
Cheater's Lament V2.0.
"To thank you for your years of support, we will be giving players who have purchased TF2 a special Proof of Purchase hat to wear on any character in-game." Also, "Q. How does the Coaching feature work? If a new player on a Free account upgrades to a premium account and indicates that you were their most helpful friend, you will receive a wearable item. Helping new users via the Coaching feature is a great way to meet new players and help them out! " This is at the Free to Play FAQ. |
Cannot decide between Serious and Warbot tags.
This makes me all the more sorrowful that my computer cannot handle TF2.
Unless... Who wants to get me a better computer for my birthday? |
