Exalted: Shadow and Steel - Interest Thread
 

Hello everybody! I am currently in the middle of reading half a billion books so that I am properly equipped to run an Exalted campaign.

For the story I have in mind, I can best summarise it with this rapidly approaching situtation:

The Locust Crusade.

In the Underworld.

Obviously enough, Abyssal and Alchemical Exalted are going to be primary antagonists!

So who would be interested in playing?

Depends, are you disallowing abyssals and alchemics? cause they are my two favorite splats

I might be interested. Would definitely need more info though. Like are we going solar circle here or are we doing a ragtag band of misfits fighting to save the world?

Yeah, more info would be appreciated on various things, like the expectations for backgrounds, and what is restricted. Are we newly exalted for example, or have we been exalted for a few years? (Can also be translated as do we start with some xp, or do we begin fresh?)

I'm interested, but I don't believe I have enough time to refresh/learn (depending on how much beyond the Core Book I need to read) the rules of Exalted, before the game begins.

Looks like you have a good response from the forums though, so that shouldn't be an issue for you! But, if you -do- find yourself pressed for players Arhra (in the event of a large quantity of drop-outs, for instance) I'll see if I can make time to join up. I know you've been dying to get an Exalted game off the ground for like, ever. I'll do my best to help, if you need.

The default is Solars, but other types of Exalted are fine. Obviously some types are going to need a better explaination than others.

Characters are relatively new to their Exaltations, so we can enjoy various exciting things as their first serious run-in with a Wyld Hunt.

I'm thinking of setting most of the game in a generally East-wards direction, although that's likely to get skewed severely to the North or the South. I've had a few thoughts but haven't set my heart on anything yet, so if anyone has places they'd especially enjoy hanging out around, now's the time to mention them.

Saying 'the Locust Crusade, but in the Underworld' is purposely misleading. It sums up some of my plans while keeping the details nice and obscured. At some point there will be an invasion of the afterlife - by robots - but the situation's going to be considerably more complex in a few respects.

I'm also in the middle of determining what I will only describe as 'Deathlord shenannigans'.

Well colour me interested but I will need to spend the weekend boneing up on the sourcebooks again :)
