I work on flash and I'm right now having trouble having insperation. I though a bunch Of final fantasy freaks, I MEAN people would have tons of imagination so if you got any ideas post them.

How about this. Two innocent characters (make them of evil decent) are picking on two other characters for lunch money. Then, a few other characters come and a melee/battle happens.

Dancing astronauts in pink spacesuits with bunny ears...wait that's a mini moni video.

How about the day in the life of a farmer.
Or how about an imitation of us talking here.
How about someone telling a joke? A pun?
Maybe you could create the end of the world using a belt, a milk can and a pipe?

Ok, so here's the deal. This guy comes up, says something to the other guy. THe other guy retorts comedically, illiciting yet another scathing, yet humorous retort. Then follow up with a random FF, or video game cameo, then add in some more comedic dialogue.

It's bound to be great.

Hobos fighting with pool sticks over a bottle of Jack. Its an instant classic.

I like the idea of you animating this conversation. A bunch of people in weird costumes with weird names talking about the forums.
You could find an old thread hat was funny and pick like 4 people to animate. If you use me I want a hat(pointy like RM's) and a cape...please?

When you finish this project could you post it somewhere so we can see it? Now that I've put in my input I wanna see what it ends up as.

Or you could animate another 8-bit comic...pick a later one instead of the first ones. Maybe after they get the Armoir of Invincibility and then fight the purple thing that eats Blackbelt.

How about... have you seen the movie "Trekies"? Kinda like that only with FF Freaks. Basicaly, have a bunch of people talking about/immitating various FF games. Example: One of them wears sunglasses and says "Don't cry" (Auron), another one says something like: "So I was thinking... magic swords." (Steiner) "I dreamt I was a moron" (Squall), "Looks to me like a big, shiny, golden wire of hope!" (Barret), and have some jackass who keeps singing segments from One Winged Angel (anybody with half a brain will click that link. It ROCKS!).

I own that CD. I also made a music video about that song in Video class. I'll see if I can get it on here. Although, I highly doubt it.

Later, when I'm not at school, which has computers that are not worthy of being called computers, but enough of that.

Hey if you want why not use one of the Battle Royal Conversations or possibly one of the RPs. Maybe using a representation of the people and the avatars or something...

hmmmm. I should have said this in the begging when I made this thread but, Final Fantasy ideas are better for me. I've played them all so that would be best. Battle Royal?? What the heck is that??

Do another FF1 comic.

I'm truly sick of everybody imitating evil BM and Sword-Chuck Fighter.
Make up some new characters, make a new and original thing, separate from the ultrapowerful 8-bit regime.

Of course, you'll have to do an outstanding job. You have majority against you, and, lets face it, 8-Bit is a dang good comic.
But some competition would be rather cool.
Besides, I really like Final Fantasy. I want more sites referring to it. Instead of 7 (Good God! 7!)

So you have my thought on it. Utilize FF1.

(Also, everybody is so gung ho on all the other FFs. Despite 8-Bit, FF1 still turns out to be a more original idea. Or maybe you should shoot for FF2j?)

IF your gonna do FF do somethign that nobody has done before...

First, for your first quote you might want to go to www.chaostemple.net if you want a somewhat new ff1 comic thing. Now, second I just wanted to see if anyone would have any better ideas that dosent come from my crazy head.

Now for that one website i refered, I wanted to make a bunch of movies about it but it just started and dosent have many comics so really couldnt. Its pretty different from 8-bit theater so I thought it was good. So I'm just waiting for the creator to get to 30 comics.

Er, dude... It ain't much different from 8-Bit.
We got a sadistic black mage who wants the WM. We have the stupid Fighter. An annoying RM, and a witty, cocky ass thief who, basically, he plays the 8-Bit BB roll, except he isn't necessarilly stupid.
Already, these characters are fully developed because the writer knows that webcomic readers read 8-bit. This gets rid of a lot of work, and it trashes a whole lot more credibility.
This isn't new or original. This is used up.
AND, if these characters are going to change and become original, it was a foolish idea to start them off as 8-bit offspring.

The only thing about the comic that really breaks away from 8-Bit is the Van Gogh. I don't recall Brian using the same Van Gogh painting for all of his backgrounds.

Otherwise, there's a lot of FF1 info that seems to be ripped from FF Classics and then uses the Origins graphics.

It's not impressive. Not to me.

So, I challenge you to use some creativity and make an FF1 based comic that doesn't steal 80% (Or more) from 8-Bit.
That is, of course, if you're preparing to do your own thing. I don't know exactly what role you're playing here, but it seems like you're already involved with Chaos Temple. My advice is that you defect now.

Note: I almost forgot. The Temple music in FF1 is totally awesome. Both temples, in fact. And the water shrine. And lots more. I am absolutely infatuated with FF1 music. And I only know the nes versions!

Edit: You could have a flash where they're all dancing to their music...

Gunner 11B, I'm not sure if I should give you large wads of cash to thank you for all the advertising or give you even more cash for those guest comics.

Martyr, if you read on, Black Mage makes peace with White Mage. Later in the series you'll learn that Black Mage isn't all that evil, Thief will be usefull. I admit to having started them off as 8-BT characters, just to have something to start with. I wanted to put starry night to get people to expect a love scene between the two mages. The reason the background is the same is because they haven't moved. I don't know about anybody else, but I quite enjoy hurting Red Mage, which is why he did not join them. I also quite enjoyed using the Monty Python spanish inquisition sketch. Keep your pants on, I'll try to diverge my comic from 8-BT, it's been my goal from the start. In english: I ACCEPT YOUR CHALLENGE! And I'M the writer/creator/basicaly-everything-since-my-colleague-never-helps-out of Chaos Temple. ME. I am Webmaster Garland, which raises further question: How will the fight with Garland go? I'm not about to let myself be wounded by my own characters!

EDIT: Gunner, if you want to do a flash of my comics, do 1-14, not icluding guest strips and filler. 30 is 16 strips away and I've hit another writters block. Maybe I'll have some fun with Blue Mage.

Y'know....you could make a movie in which a powerful Black Wizard called "Dragonsbane" defeats every FF hero ever in an epic battle involving lots of magic and cool music.......Dragonsbane should look exactly like my avatar, and be able to blow up entire planets! *is NOT blatantly using other people to produce cool movies about himself!*

on a more serious note, froofmyster, does the Garland in your comic have an expensive and rare tropical fish which, coincidentally, happens to taste very good after getting the business end of a Firaga spell?

Froomyster Ill do that but I'd like it if more people knew about the site before I make the flash video so that people know what the heck I'm doing. I think it can be pretty good with the vision I have in my mind. and you can do one of the voices for the movie if its possible for you(I call fighter) and I'll give you most of the credit for the idea.

I have no idea why but that is probably the 2nd best idea on this thread yet. Something tells me this can be cool with all the explosions I can put in it. Just for your enjoyment I'll make a small version of what you might want. Just give me sprites. Well, by making a flash, you'd be getting me more publicity. We can work together on it. Not in person, of course. Have you seen my first completed flash? It's on the thread entitled "my first completed flash" in the animation section.

LOL. Thats pretty good. I just wonder how that subway looked so good when it was so small. O well. Just a tad fast paced though. Though for my flash animation im planning on doing the works. Like a button to start it, God those are hard to do. and credits and MUSIC. Its gonna be hard scince I just got flash from my dad(he got it for FREE) like 2 months ago so im still learning but learned alot in that time.

I got Flash about the same as you did. It seems are skills hane develloped equall but in different fields. In english: We can help each other out.

Good becouse I still dont know alot of things and ya i can make a small mini animation While it loads as a preloader. But i cant make that bar that tells you how much it has loaded. for that im planning on just making a text that says "click button when you think its ready," and as for helping each other... The fact you live in Cannada and the fact I live in California makes it kind of tough but like you said not in person.

Ok guys, I hate to do this, but I'm going to anyway.

If you care about the potential, originality, humor, and life of your comic, you WILL NOT base it upon FF1.

I am a writer myself, and every time I have written something even remotely close to another work that I've read, I find myself drawing ideas from said work, and then I grow frustrated with my unoriginality and quit. If you make this comic FF1 based, you will INEVITABLY use ideas from 8-bit theatre (as the creator of the chaostemple webcomic has). FURTHERMORE, anyone who has read 8-bit theater who reads your comic will compare it to 8-bit theatre, and I don't believe that at this point in your career, that you're ready to stand up to that kind of criticism.

If you don't have a problem with being stale and repetitive or uneccessarily unpopular, then by all means, go ahead with the plan. But don't say I didn't warn you.
