DB, As you can see I didn't say that EVERYONE was guilty of it so there is no need to be so defensive. I'm just saying that those who ARE spamming are going to ruin it for the rest of you.

I agree...and I also have some advice for those who ARE spamming. Add description, SAAM was absolutely right when he said that....for example, I still have no clue what Twin Fire Swords and Eternal Fire look like, but I know exactly what Jericho's flying looks like (he's mostly been attacking out of sight and with katanas, so I haven't seen many of his attacks). If you describe your attack, it will also help everyone else know whether or not your allies are affected, whether your enemies can dodge, which direction your strikes are coming from....

Also, in conversation, you don't just stand immobile and talk in a flat voice, SHOW what you are doing! If you are disgusted, angry, ecstatic, lovelorn, despairing.....SHOW IT!!!! If you aren't standing utterly still, show how you are moving, also......reaching a hand to your swordhilt at the threat of danger, or smiling at a compliment, all of these inprove content and RP while at the same time preventing spam.

here are some examples:

Ziff doubled over with laughter, tears of merriment in his eyes as Talos tried to stand up, but slipped and fell back down in the mud on his rear, "Ha! Some Shadow-Evil YOU are" he snickered. Talos's eyes narrowed, glittering crimson in the sunlight "You DARE to insult me, foolish mortal!?" he rose into the air, a towering column of darkness, blocking out the sun with his evil might....

you don't have to be THAT descriptive, I'm just showing you how to use details to improve the content of your posts.

That was good. in addition, being forced to read so many posts of spam leads to great confusion. with description, you can see exactly what is going on and respond to it.

the inability to tell where the thread is going keeps many from posting due to their confusion. (Which is the reason you haven't seen many of my attacks.)

and that description is very good DB, it adds a personality to characters. Remember, this is not only RP, this is poetry in motion...
