Online friends
 

I am completely aware that I sound like a moron when I ask advice like this, but here it goes anyway;

How do I make friends online ?

I don't have any problems socializing in real life, but it's a whole different story online. When trying to meet new people n' stuff the same problems always emerge.

-Can't find someone with similar interests.
-If I do find them, then the conversation comes to a halt, and no matter what i try to say I don't get more than a "yeah" or "meh" reaction from the other person.
-I always seem to give them a wrong impression, and they end up hating mer or ignoring me

I ask you guys cuz' you're all pretty cool guys and seem to be pretty good at this. I mean.. you're always talking about people you meet online and long distance relationships and stuff.

What should I do ? What kinds of sites do I visit? (I seem to be frequenting the wrong ones) Any advice ?

But like if you got heaps of real friends I don't know why you need online ones? Cause us dudes are mental.

Wait, you have friends IRL but you want to make ones online? Usually it's the other way around.

Edit: I prefer to make enemies than friends.

Well I would consider Snake a friend of mine from here. It just kind of happens when you're social.

Or even if you're anti-social, considering I consider Nikose a friend. (and possibly vice versa)
And when's the last time we talked on MSN?

Once in a while I feel bad about not signing onto MSN that much anymore.
And then I remember I'm anti-social (not really. I just dislike socializing (yes, there's a difference)) and I don't feel too bad.

Go on forums and post a lot. I met some of the best online friends that way because sooner or later we'd chat on AIM or something, for hours at a time. I only have a few I chatted with a TON, though. Kind of like in real life.

Yeah chat's there join us.

We're pretty international so while we do have calm periods there's usually at least some of us Eastern hemisphere people there when all the Americans are asleep if you use the net at weird hours.
