Lookie here, blue skin!
Ok, well, see, over the weekend, I was bored, and I was sitting there at my computer, thinking "Hmmmmmm, what to do... what to do..."
After a while, I found myself listening to music... then downloading music... then browsing around on a couple of music forums... then in Adobe Photoshop 7.0, editing the colours of a digital photo my sister took of me while I was watching tv, to suit the colours of a character featured in a story that Qeeko and I are working on (which sorta feature us... eh heh *sweatdrop*). This is the shrunk down version of the first picture Then, I had an idea for another picture, so I grabbed the camera, took a shot, did the colour edit diddy thing, and did this picture: Sooooooo, anyways, thoughts? Suggestions? Think you need a reality check? |
The second one is so cool! It looks like it could have been made with CGI, it's hard to believe it's a real picture.
Great job! :D |
It looks niffty. I did somethig like that with a negative picture once.
|
I see X and X
|
YOU overclocked your memory!
Dued, Chicago, you got the X's going here, did you exceed your bandwich? Fix it for the people!
|
I'm seein' everything just fine.
It's amazing what some people can do with their image manipulation tools these days. If I didn't kno any better, I would think that's Chicago's natural skin color since his clothes and background are still positive. But, since I do know better... |
same here Otaku Son he does resemble somthing like nightcrawler from X-men
|
Lycanthrope: Fixed. Images are now being hosted on ImageShack for your viewing.
SAAM: Yeah, I agree with you. The second one is cooler. I spent a lot longer with that picture (took the picture at 4 PM, started work on it at sometime past midnight, finished it at 3:15 AM) - Most of that time was spent separating the eyebrow hairs from the skin... I eventually gave up  Glad you like! TSOV: You wouldn't happen to still have that picture, would you? Otaku: Almost anything can be achieved with image tools, given enough time and effort is put into use. For the second picture: The skin colour was a three-layer job. The hair, five-layers. The eye, including eye-lashes, was an eight-layer diddy. Like I said, time and effort, and a lot of free time. Qeeko: Hopefully those ×s'll stop showing up now. Hence, the picture has been fixededed! Eded. |
i must admit if you take pictures and have it negative it always looks cool.
|
Oh Lordy H: I didn't see your first post... Silly me, I take too long to type sometimes *sweatdrop*
Anyway! About the whole Nightcrawler reminder diddy thing... Although I had seen X-Men before doing those pictures, I had also done up a sprite of myself (aka, my internet character) way before doing the pictures too. And true that, most pictures do look pretty cool negative. |
dat's cool
|
Havin a little fun
Couldn't resist doing more to it. Was listening to Danzig - Angel Blake when I did it. The lyrics strangely kinda work with the picture. A border contains the contrast, so to speak, and makes the person focus more on ChicagoxLollie. Desaturated the hair 'cause it looked niftier that way.
so without further adoooo http://img44.photobucket.com/albums/.../DollOfSin.jpg a simple 10 minute grunge. nothin fancy. |
Whee!
Pictures! Yeeeeeeee!! *jumps onto the ceiling* Chicago should love that! I love putting song lyrics to things, whereas he just writes his own ^_^;;
|
Wow, cool... O.O *stares*
|
I got the skin tone/texture from making a layer copy and setting the layer effect to..i think..either Color Burn or Multiply. Can't remember what one it was.
|
*looking at the grunge job*
Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuude... Skweeb, your grunge stuff is just so cool. 10 minute job or not, it still looks great. :D Qeeko: I've only done one set of lyrics, and even I know that only one piece could even be considered for use on an image. :p |
Question...how u get coloured writing
|
[topic=off]
Uhh... Selected the text, then colored it? Stuffed if I know how to explain it. [/topic] |
Its all about color complimentary and balance. Thats the most important thing about grungeing. followed closely by moderation.
Though i guess the most important thing is knowing your chosen program pretty well. |
