The second Amendment in the USA states that all have a right "to keep and bear arms"

...people think this means you can have guns.

What if the original intentions were that you have the Right to Keep and Bear Arms... as in, you get a Keep, and Bear Arms.

...cause that would be fucking awesome.

A Keep is also a Small fortified towers. And, the constitutional right for all to have Bear Arms... I mean, that's empowering stuff. Maybe the founding fathers were tripping balls when they wrote that down goin all "Duuuuuude that's awesome! Write it down!"

The right to have your own keep is already quite a fantastic thing. But think of the Bear arms. Do you think anybody would mess with a country where people have a legal right to have Bear arms? Fuck, every country needs wood but you don't see people trashing down ALL forests... why? Some of them have bears. And their Natural Bear arms are going to rend you to shreds!

Sure, you would loose the whole thumb thing. But who cares? "Thumbs?! Screw that son, i have some Sweet bear Arms Action going down right here!"

I'll have what he's having, thank you.

As a constitutional scholar, I have to point out it's very unlikely the founding fathers meant to say the people should have a right to a keep. They were, as a group, against the very idea of building castles, which I think we can all agree shows in the design of every single American castle including keeps, strongholds, compounds, forts, walled-in towns, bunkers and fortified defensive walls of all kinds.

More likely the segment "keep and bear arms" refers to the practice of keeping an opponent's arm whom you have bested in arm wrestling, and bear such trophies with you to display your arm wrestling skills.

Just take the comma out of everything -

"Enjoy, guys!" VS. "Enjoy guys!"

This country would be a lot more interesting if it had a thriving bear-arm-augmentation industry instead of a plain-old guns industry.

I for one am against arms proliferation amongst our grizzly population. These dissidents are already dangerous enough without tungsten-alloy claws or infrared eye implants.
