CSI: New York

(I wasn't sure if this was "serious" enough to be in the Discussion area...so here it is.)

It was bound to happen. As soon as I saw the episode of CSI: Miami where Horatio traveled to New York a la Miami Vice, I knew that another spin-off was inevitable. Sure enough, there was a teaser for CSI:NY the following week. It seems that CBS, like NBC with Law and Order, has decided to milk the CSI franchise for all its worth. Now I don't have a problem with this at all, especially since this new iteration of CSI has talent (oscar and emmy nominees, if not winners, can't remember), and I liked the New York episode of CSI: Miami I only have two questions.

1) Will the show be a success?

2) Which song by The Who are they going to use for the theme song? (It's pretty obvious that's the path they're taking, using "Who are you?" for CSI and "Won't Get Fooled Again" for CSI: Miami)

Feel free to add your two cents.

I like CSI. I think too many spin-offs will ruin the effect, but there isn't anything they could REALLY do to make me dislike the show overall. If you like forensics and stuff like that you're automatically hooked.

I spend many an evening in bed with a cup of tea, notepad and the TV with CSI, Law and Order and the real life forensics/police shows on. I'm so lame. Someone save me.

CSI, LA is still the one that rules the other CSI's. I think that CSI, NY would propably be a bit doll, since there's not that atraction of a new show anymore. I actually think that CSI Miami sucks pretty much too...I too watch Law & Order, but I have'nt been able to find my self watching any other police series.

Well if you should be saved cause of that...well let's just say, that I should be saved from multiple things at once...scary...TV=life... :D

I don't usually watch much TV. I used to watch Stargate SG1 when that was showing and Dead like me on Sky1. Otherwise, it's just my police/forensics shows. I think I have a perverse sense of TV viewing, but I like it. =3

I actually watched SG too, but when they cancelled it and put the Firefly series instead I started watching that. There's something everyday worth watching.

Monday: 70's Show, Scrubs, Charmed(yeah I know...I just watch it to past time until 70's Show begins) and then there's The Agency.

And it's almost same everyday exept week ends.

Uh...it's actually CSI: Las Vegas, not LA...but whatever.

I always get those mixed up...

It's always those abbreviations that get ya, eh?
I like Las Vegas more than the normal CSI, so maybe the spinoffs will improve in quality as time goes on.

Las Vegas is the original CSI

Stargate is not cancelled. It's on Sci-Fi now. The latest season ended a few weeks ago and the next one should start up in the fall.
