A few months ago, a user called Cyngus needed help thinking of ideas for an 8-BT movie trailer for economics class. Two very good ideas were contributed: This one, and mine. Niether of these were used due to a low budget. I would like to create both of these pieces art. Therefore I need voice actors AND slightly above average man's permission to make the first one. Please offer what ever help you can.

I have only one staff member: me. Every position besides animator is up for grabs.

Er, in that case ^^ I'll put up a few voices later, but now I can't

*sigh* I've gotten around to doing it, and created several very quality dialog before I realized what a fuzzy POS my sounds turned out to be. I don't know how to get rid of the static, so just do what the other guy suggested

The first one reminds me of a trailer, which is good. Shows what to expect in the near future.
And your second one is perfect for a movie preview. I keep reading it and reading it, and I'm here thinking "Haha! Duuuuuude.. I so wanna see this movie! Oh wait..." :cool:

Qeeko and I agree: If possible, try to get the voices of TLF's 8BT animations in this. It'd be a short job, so if you mention/show them that, it may be easier to have them lend you their voice talent.

Note though, you'll also need a good movie trailer narrator voice, otherwise it just wouldn't seem right :rolleyes:

Update! I found a non-POS sound recorder and got the voices down. Now... all I gotta do is found out how to put them here...

However, you will need a voice for the narrator for that one.

My voice is deep and announcerish, I would be more than glad to add my talents to the list.

I'm really not any good for anything other than thief or blackmage, and TLF can probably send you to better ones of either. If you want to hear a sound file, though, I could e-mail or IM you a few.

Ethreal, TLF is not a shortened version of (The?) Legendary Frog, they are two different people.

Hmm... That's a bit of a grey area.
Seeing that it's taking TLF forever to release 8BT-4, you might as well look for original (and suitable) talent.

Just, uh, make sure you pick a good RM. Otherwise Qeeko'll be complaining for weeks... *sweatdrop*

Ethereal, you've got that part of Thief and possibly BM. I need a... sharper voice for BM. Nice work on the Thiefy wisper. Seriously, though, you're better that the Thief TLF uses.

Yeah, like I said in the email, if I'm going to be BM, I'll have to find a program to add an echo or a metallic sound to sharpen it.

And thank you so much for taking my thief! I spent over an hour looking for what quote I wanted to use. I blurted out an extra syllable during the 'theify whisper' but didn't want to do it again because I liked the rest of it alot.

I played with the BM clip in Nero Wave Editor. You've got Thief AND BM. Think you can handle both?

Sure. I merely need ot find some method by which to evacuate my house so that I can get all loud with my mic without the repercussions, of, let's say, a straight jacket

I used to be a voice actor. I've been in radio plays. I was gonna try out for Canadian Idol!(ok, maybe not but yknow.)

So who's all left? BM and fighter and white mage are taken I think...is the first page updated? If so, I voulenteer for out resident stats geek RED MAGE, or due to lack of requests, BB. Do not be fooled, mate, I don't sound like how you'd think I'd sound. 'Course I wanna give others the chance and not hog everything.

People, if you've sent me an e-mail recently I haven't read it. My e-mail service is messing around. I think some bastard found out my password and changed it. He's done this before. I'm going to talk to my server (Computer teacher) tomorrow.

Oh, I sent in the theif voices. This might give me time to revise it a little though...

You sent it, but I'm a music/control freak and would like to choose the music myself. I'm using Chocarena (duh) for both, Battle Mix for mine, and One Winged Angel for yours. I have big plans for this project and have a feeling that it will be a sucess. I hope to be started on the animation by the 20th.

Are the theif voices okay, and do you need me to start on any blackmage stuff? I'm a little nervous about the 'I can steal anything' line, it came out a little slurred but I was in a hurry and didn't have much time at the moment...

I may or may not be a regular poster, however, I registered simply to sign up for this. It's a cool idea.

However, RM is going to have a terrible english accent, and I don't sound that good when recorded. If you'd prefer, I can post a voice sample on how I'd play RM.

I reckon I could do either Red Mage or Black Belt - I'm probably more suited for RM, since I'm closer to his personality and BB should have quite a deep voice, I think.

Or, BB could have the same kind of voice that Meddros whipped out in his animation. ;)

Sorry, I'm a bit stressed at the moment. I've spent the last few hours wandering through Chicago (stupid dad dragging me on this stupid vacation) and just found one. This would be so much easier back in Montreal on my high speed modem at home. Alas, I digres.

actually i just missed out on that part for his latest animation ... i'd be willing to give BB another shot ... i can e-mail some samples soon :D
