Jade entered. The room was almost pitch black, but she could make out a fuzzy figure in the middle of the room. "No, I haven't come to talk you out of leaving. I learned a long time ago that I can't argue with you when your mind is set on something. I've come to say goodbye. They're going to take me away tomorrow so they let me out and you were the first person I wanted to see." There was a quiver in her voice, and in the silence and blackness of Monk's room, Jade, the stoic soldier, broke down. She dropped to the ground and began sobbing. "I'm sorry, I just couldn't hold it in anymore. I don't want to go to jail, as much as I said that I could habdle it, I can't. I keep thinking about you, and not being able to see you is going to kill me. I don't know what to do Monk, I just don't." She buried her head in her hands and continued sobbing.

Monk didn't move an emotion, but even though the darkness and slight chill in the room, Jade felt a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "Why do you think I'm leaving? I'm going away so you don't think of me anymore, so no one will think of me anymore. Everyone is always so caught up in others emotions, no one stops to tell themselves how they feel." He paused. "I've just noticed this, and I've decided that I have to go. I don't know if I'll ever be back."

He knelt down in front of her. "Please don't cry. It is only making this harder to bear. It sounded like everything was going good for you before I showed up. I should be begging for forgivness, yet her I am pleading for you to stop crying. You have no reason to shed tears, for I was the one to put you through this hell once again. I'm so sorry. Please fogive me."

Wolf checked Angel's message. He typed a quick reply. "Maybe later...I have an asshole to deal with." He started running down the hallway.

"Where are you going?" Kaitlin asked as she caught up to him.

"I have to talk to the person responsible for this mess..." Wolf said heading towards the administrative offices, his fists clenched.

"I think I understand..." Kaitlin said as she stopped running. "I'll wait for you back in your quarters."

Wolf waved slightly over his shoulder before arriving at his destination; the general's office. He paused to knock...but stopped.

"He's in there...just so you know." Beowulf said.

"Excellent." Wolf replied as he smashed through the door with a well-aimed kick. The general leapt up from his chair.

"What the hell is going on?" he asked.

"Sit down and shut up...sir." Wolf snarled. "You and I are going to have a little chat."

"What do you think you're doing barging in..."

Wolf slammed his fist down on the general's desk. "I said SHUT UP!" The general went quiet. "Good...smartest thing you did all day. Now let's get one thing straight. I hate your guts. You're pondscum...and don't deserve to live. If I wanted to...I could ice you right now because I have an honorary licence to kill given to me by MI6. But I won't do that...no...I want you to suffer the way you made Jade suffer by sending her to prision. I want you to suffer the way Monk suffers every day because he thinks his existence makes him a threat to humanity. I want you suffer the way I do because I couldn't save either of them. Your callous actions put my CO in jail and caused one of my friends to run away...and now you'll pay the price."

"HA!" The general shouted "What are you going to do about it? I can easily have you removed from command!"

"Not after today you won't." Wolf shoved his PDAP screen in the general's face. It displayed a newspaper article with the headline: "CYBER FORCE GENERAL UNLAWFULLY TRIES TO DISBAND TEAM: POLITICAL OUTRAGE ACROSS THE UN."

"See? I'm not the only one who hates your guts. Remind me to thank Coyote for leaking the trial to the world." Wolf said putting the PDAP away as the general went pale white in the face.

"Still...I am your CO and there's nothing you can do about it!" the General said.

"But there is." Wolf said glaring right at him. "As per General Order 104, Section C, I am removing you from command on the grounds that you are mentally unfit to lead."

"Bullshit. Only the Chief Medical Officer can do that."

Wolf grabbed his PDAP and dailed a quick number "Dr. Oedupe to the General's office please." he said.

30 seconds later the doctor showed up in the office. Wolf nodded to the doctor when he entered. "He saw the trial, let's see what he thinks of your mental stability."

The doctor was glaring at the General. "I don't say this very much...but they ought to put you in a padded room with 4 straitjackets on you." he said. "I concur with Colonel Wolf's decision to enact General Order 104, Section C."

"YOU CAN'T DO THIS!!!" The general screamed.

Wolf smirked "It's been done. I now no longer have to take BS orders from you or you First officer who is sneaking up behind me right now because you pushed the silent alarm button when I broke your door." Wolf spun around and upercutted the XO through the open doorway. "He'll be out for a few days." Wolf said shaking his fist. He put his face inches from the general's "If I were you, General...I would stay in this office and never...ever...leave...or I just might have to hunt you down."

Wolf spun around and left; Doc Oedupe followed him close behind. "Thanks for the backup, doc."

"Hey...he tried to break up a perfectly good unit. I may be a doctor...but that doesn't mean I can't take sides in an internal feud."

"I'll take that as a 'your welcome'. Wolf said heading back to his quarters where Kaitlin was waiting for him.

"So...how did that go?" she asked

"The general is now powerless to do shit...at least until he finds a way to revoke General Order 104, Section C." Wolf replied. "His first officer is also out for a while...I kind of punched him really hard."

"Ah...well...he'll get over it. Here, have a slice of pizza. I got it from Neil. I swung by his quarters while you were giving the general hell." she handed him the slice.

Wolf took it. "Thanks. Maybe this can help me forget about slugging the XO...not to mention all the shit that's happened today."

OOC: Well...that takes care of General Shit-for-Brains for now...and all thanks to a handy little Starfleet regulation.

"I'd expect a long jail sentence for the General. The suits in Washington will make sure of that." Coyote said.

Wolf picked up his PDAP again upon hearing Coyote's message. "You're probably right." he said to Coyote "Which reminds me: thank you for helping to get rid of that asshole. I always knew there was something odd about him...and you proved it. Since I've now been placed in charge of the Cyber Force...I want to make sure I don't wind up on your bad side. So I'm offically stating to you here and now that I will never conscript you into fighting for me. If I need your help, I'll ask for it. I respect your rights as a sentient being...and will not attempt to violate them in any way. Just...uh...don't use any more Weapons of Mass Destruction on civilians or my own team...please."

"Bargained well and done."

There comes a knock on the door, and Wraith peers his head into Wolf's room. "Yo... I just heard some news through the grapevine that the General got canned."

He steps in the room with Angel behind him, with booze and pizza in their arms. "I just dropped by to see if anyone was interested in a little celebration, eh?"

He pauses for a moment as something strikes him. "Well, what'll have to pass for one, seeing as Jade n' Monk're goin' away..."

"I can't stop crying, I've had 18 years of me being forced to stop crying. This isn't hard only for you you know. I have to rot in a jail cell for two years with nothing to think about but all of my memories. It's not so easy to forget about the one you love...I'm sorry...I shouldn't have said that. I know this is hard for you." She stood up trying to make Monk out in the darkness. "As much as you say I should I can't and won't forget about you. Two years is a long time, but I hope that my memory of you will keep me going until I get out." She had made out that Monk was now standing in front of her, so she reached out for him and pressed her lips against his. "I would have liked to have seen you one more time, but if you're content in living in darkness then I can't argue with you." She turned and prepared to leave.

Monk went to stop here, and muttered what he thought was a "Wait," but all it really was was a noise. An odd, high pitched kind of a thing. She stopped and looked at him. Monk turned away and lit a candle, then held it between the two. The light shown on his face presented a dark and scary Monk, the hair all over the place, covering most of his face, mostly his forhead and eyes. If one wasn't careful, they would think that Myth had taken over again. "You want to see your executioner one more time? Here he is. This is the man who is going to send you into hell once more. Why is it that you still have a place in your heart for me? Why is it that you still want me in your life? Why am I so important to you, that you choose to spend your last day with me? I am honored, but I do not deserve. That is why I have to go. You have to find someone who is better suited to protect you than I. I have hurt you so many times, I can't even began to count the number of shots, both from a gun... and from my mouth." He put the candle on a table and turned away from her. "I hope to see you again, ad I hope that you will be happy. For both our sakes..."

Wolf nodded at Wraith. "Yeah...might as well. Things have been far too depressing down here. And yeah...I've pretty much fired the general...although legal precedings will take some time. Right now he's listed as 'mentally unfit to command'. I guess that's something to celebrate, right?" Wolf looked around his quarters. "However, I don't believe my quarters are the best place for mass drunkeness. How about we go to the mess hall?"

"I'm game for that," Wraith replies with a smile.

Pulling an amazing balancing act, Angel stepped in. Apparently he'd swung by the cafeteria, grabbed another 12-pack, and another pizza.

"Dude, we can use mine. They're oddly large, not too annoying, Kaitlin might enjoy the family photos, that and it's a double size bed." He winked at Wolf and Kaitlin after that.

"But, going back to topic...Pizza and beer are best used to celebrate, or to mourn. Both occasions apply here. That and I checked in the Mess Hall, they just cleaned it...so..."

In a feat that defied many laws of physics, Angel got is key into his teeth.

"Wefs goh."

Wolf pretended not to notice Angel's wink in his direction. not funny...I have morals....

"All right. Sounds like a good idea." He followed Angel out of his quarters, Katlin walking alongside him.

<"Did he mean what I think he meant when he was talking about-?"> Kaitlin whispered.

<"Yes."> Wolf whispered back. <"Just ignore him...that's what I usually do...as long as he's not about to inflict bodily harm to someone other than himself."> he grinned slightly.

<"He hasn't changed a bit, you know. You'd think he'd at least be a tad bit cynical or mature given his past.">

<"Well...whatever...it's not that big a deal. If he want to think we're gonna end up doing that after we just re-met...then let him think so.">

<"Well...aren't we? I mean eventually...not tonight of course.">

<"Of course not tonight. I have morals to abide by. Besides...this has been one hell of a day...I highly doubt that 'doing it' would be considered appropriate at a time like this.">

Wolf and Kaitlin grinned at each other as they continued following Angel towards his quarters.

Angel reached his quarters, and somehow opened the door. He must've been a contortionist in an earlier life. Once inside, he went to the small table he had, dropped the food off, and got his laptop off.

Then he walked over, and flicked on the lights, stretched, and let everyone in. Quickly, he cut up the pizza with a machete, since it was the only thing handy. He flopped onto his bed, and vaguely wondered how the next two years were going to go over.

"Hey, Wolf, I need to get Cyber World clearance still."

About that moment, Kaitlin walked over and punched Angel's arm. He rolled into a sitting position and said, "Ow. What was that for?"

She glared at him, and held up a picture. "Family reunion 9 years ago. Remember, the time that for fun you pushed me into the lake when I was wearing a dress?"

Angel laughed slightly, and said, "Wow. Those were the days."

Then he glanced back at Wolf, then leaned under his bed. He managed to clamp his beer can in his teeth so it wouldn't spill, and pulled out the case that had the guns.

He pulled a .45 Colt that had compensators added, and tossed it to Wolf.

"Did the best I could cleaning it and putting it back together. I miss anything painfully obvious?"

"Well this wasn't the goodbye that I'd hoped for, but I can't change your mind. But I owe you an explanation. You've seen my past, you know what I've been through. You are the first and only person who's actually given me any sort of love. I'd trade my entire childhood for one moment with you. I know in your heart that whatever physical or mental shots I've gotten from you, you still care. That's why I care for you regardless of what you've done. Even now, though you're trying to sound cold, I know that deep down inside you want to ecpress the same things I've said. I know you're bent on leaving and maybe we'll meet again some day, but I really wish you'd stay for me. I make my own decisions and destiny. You didn't cause any of this and don't think otherwise. I don't hold you responsible although you might think so. Just know this: whatever you choose to do, know that I will always love you and will have a place in my heart for you." Jade wanted to reach out to him, but his back was still turned. "Goodbye Monk," she said softly and began walking out of the room.

Wolf caught the .45 and looked it over. He ejected the clip and reloaded it. "Seems to be in perfect working order. Good job." he said holstering the weapon. Grabbing a beer in one hadn and using his PDAP in the other, he granted Angel his Cyber World clearance.

"All right, you're cleared again to enter and exit the Cyber World as you please."

Monk didn't move after her speech, neither emotionally or physically. He just stood there. No words to stop her, no words to comfort either, no words came into his mind. His mind was empty, just like the room. He waited for Jade to leave. Hearing the door close, he fell to his knees. A single light from his eye fell to the floor.



He looked around, trying to find out just where the heck he needed to go. This was a strange place for him to be. He held a PDAP close to his chest as he wondered the hallways. He didn't look that old to begin with, only about 10 or 12, but he still had a determined look on his face. He walked over to a guard, looked up, and tugged on his pant leg. The guard looked down and gave him an odd look. "Where are you supposed to be little fella?"

"He's not little!" A voice frominside the boy cried, but his lips did not move.

The guard tilted his head back. "Excuse me?"

The boy handed him his PDAP. "Where can we find the Cyber Force?"

"The Cyber Force?" The guard had asked a little floating mage on the screen.

He wore a hood over his face so that he couldn't see it, was decked out in a dark blue cloak, with gold trimmings around the face of the hood, and down the center of his body. In one hand he carried a staff. "You heard me! Where are they?"

The guard looked at the boy then the Mage, "Listen. This is no place for a boy and... you..." He took a minute to ponder that statement. "Why don't you go out and..." There was another tug on his pant leg. Looking down again, the boy held up some papers. Taking them in his hand, then reading them, he looked up with another surprised look. "You're kidding right?"

"No sir! We are the one and only! The duo team of Bomber and Magey!" (That's: Mai - jee)

"I'll call them right away." He took out a radio and phoned Wolf. "Uh... sir? A new unit just came in. What should I do with him? He calls himself Bomber, and he has a AI called Magey."

"Danka-shin pup." Angel then proceeded to Wolf down his piece of pizza, and managed to utter through his mouthful of sweet sweet cooking,

"So, anything that's just pissing you off that you just wanna' get off of your chest?"

Wolf drained his beer in one gulp. "Not really...unless you count today...and that stunt you pulled. I know you were acting in the best interest for base security...but man...you fucked up good. You have to understand that the Cyber Force is the on the edge of the fringe in terms of UN support. I'm not asking you to obey all the rules...since most of them were total BS from El Generalissimo, but just try to exercise some judgement when on missions."

Just then his PDAP rang. "Hold on." he picked it up and listened to the guard. "Send him to briefing room A. I'll be right there." He got up to leave

"Where are you going?" Kaitlin asked.

"Apparently 2 new recruits have arrived. A fast-talking AI and a silent kid named Bomber...I have to go interview them. I'll be back though." Giving Kaitlin a quick kiss, he left; pausing to grab one more beer and a slice of pizza. "One for the road." he said with a grin.

Devouring the pizza as he left the room, he headed down to the briefing room just as he finished his beer.

"You really shouldn't interview him when you're drunk." Beowulf said.

"I only had 2!" he replied indignantly as he entered.

OOC: Oh Monk, you silly boy...we're gonna have a talk later *evil grin*

BIC: Jade made her way down the hall and spotted Wolf about to enter the briefing room. "Wolf! Hold on a second!"

Wraith looks around the room in a moment of silence. "...So! Anyone here like hard rock?"

Wolf turned around at hearing Jade's voice. "Yes...what is it?" he asked her, trying to ignore the fact she was still restrained.

OOC: I know we're supposed to begin a new chapter...but the next chapter would most likely involve some passage of time...which would seem a little wonky if we did it halfway through a chapter.

OOC: I'll continue here, they want to stop us, let them, and on a more personal note. Eep! I don't wanna die! (Sobs) (Stops and thinks) Wait... what are we talking about?

"Briefing room A. It's down the hallways a bit, and to the left."

Bomber nodded. "Thank you! You are a kind person! We appreciate the help!" The eyes of the Mage turned into upside down "u's", common term in anime that someone was happy.

"Uh... don't mention it." The guard handed back the PDAP to the kid. He smiled, nodded, then continued on his way.

Pushing the door aside, he found the room to be empty, a single desk with a few chairs around it. It looked somewhat like an interrogation room, but it suited him none the less. Walking to the wall, he found a plug that would bring his friend to life, If a hologram could be considered life. Plugging the device into the outlet on the wall, he stuck it using suction cups. Flipping a switch a screen started to turn random colors. Taking the PDAP out of his pocket, which reminded him of the old GBA's of the past, he plugged it into the device. It took a moment when an egg appeared on the desk. It bounced once after a minute, then 3 more times before it shattered in a million pieces. Out of it popped out Magey, floating high up in the air, then settling a few inches off the desk. "Ah! It feels good to get out of that thing every now and then!"

OOC: Umm...MC...she kind of tortured me for info about-(looks up and sees MC's post count) AHHH!!! 666!!! DEVIL MAN!!! MARK OF THE BEAST!!! NAUGHTY JUNGLE OF LOVE!!! (hits self over head). Sorry about that.

OOC: I am officially scared of MC.

IC: Angel raised his hand.

"Your favorite song? Mine is Numb by Linkin Park."

OOC: Yea, Wolf couldn't resist my "powers of persuation" you are in trouble mister MC, report to the GM's office!

BIC: Jade walked up to Wolf. "I just wanted to thank you for all your help, and to say goodbye. I made you the leader for a reason, and I know you can do a much better job than I. I trust you and know you well enough to realize that you can keep Mastermind at bay and even push him back. I just wanted to let you know that before I was hauled off."

"I don't have one, but I really like playin' Hendrix."

OOC: Wha... what did I do!? [Sauron] HOLY CRAP! [/Sauron] Short, you weak minded fool! What have you done to me!?

On a lighter note, I think we should start a new chapter, I have a feeling that we're gonna be staggereing around for a little bit.

OOC: I agree we need a new chapter...I just won't start it.
