Oh, Valentine's Day. What a beautiful day. A day, when young men present roses to their love interests. Some give roses to more than one woman. Improves the chances I guess. But did you ever consider what roses mean? The spikes will have been removed from the roses you can buy, and they are rather short-lived plants. They don't do well without water. What does this say? I want you, but only if you hide your mistakes from me, and only because you're kinda hot. Also, this'll be a one-night stand, I just wanna fuck. Now, what should you give to your true love then? Easy, a cactus. A cactus without its spikes is no cactus. This tells the girl of your dreams "I love you, even with all your mistakes because they aren't mistakes in my eyes, they are a part of you like everything else and I love you". Cacti also can manage a loooooong time without water without dying, and since they aren't exactly a "pretty flower" they also are a good gift for a woman you love for her inner values, which doesn't mean she can't be beautiful. But the best stuff of the cactus, the stuff that gets you real high. That's deep inside.
