You could just not go to the Homestuck thread.

But what will stop you from going to all of the other ones?

A Zarkin' Frood 03-15-2012 07:27 PM

The thing about Homestuck is it started decent, then got really great but at some point jumped the shark and now I don't know If I should stop reading or not because it seems like it's getting back into form to some degree.

The fandom, though? Like most big fandoms: Terrible.

It has lots of nice art though.

You could pretend the fandom doesn't exist. I get away with that all the time, wearing my Breath tee and hood everywhere and never getting recognized at all forever. Fuck yes.

Lots of nice art. And the speed and frequency with which it comes out is just incredible.

Seriously I think Homestuck is just about the only webcomic I thoroughly enjoy enough to recommend and yet simultaneously feel somewhat envious of those who've never been introduced

Guess I must be lucky then. I didn't read it. Just don't have the time.

MSperoni 03-16-2012 04:48 AM

I am lucky a well, because I have not read it either.

His answers to fan questions are pretty great, though.

High-five. I just read it every few months in spurts and don't bother with threads anymore, though I did recently post in ours to note I caught up. That may have been a message to one or two people that I could have just PM'd, but derp.

Some of the artwork is neat, sure, and the community apparently is doing a rad job with music. But one trip through the "official" MSPA forums was enough to know I'll just wait for someone else to post links to the good stuff and avoid all the ridiculous speculation, shipping, and cult mentality that seems to pop up around Hussie's works.

This is, of course, an unfair generalization and does not apply to every and any person who reads his work. But there it is.

The first time I saw this thread, I ignored it for whatever reason. This morning I decided to see what all the fuss was about.

It cannot be unseen.

You should have stayed away. And I'm all out of brain bleach, sorry.

Being a FF X-2 fan, I have had some, um, interesting thoughts about YRP-Yuna, Rikku, Payne, and not to mention Lulu.

This is both acceptable and understandable.

Getting back to the furry tangent, when I was a kid, Gadget from Rescue Rangers was the first female character that I really noticed. I was too young when Thunder Cats first came out to notice Cheetara, but I appreciate her now.
