Castlevania HD is fucking awesome, and I love it, but I already own it on Xbox 360 and have played it to death (50+ hours). Infamous I can get on disc, so no need to purchase from the store. Eyes glazing over the rest. Quote:
SOLD on Legend of Mana! http://foxfm.com/wp-content/uploads/...2/soldSign.gif |
Glad to be of help. I might check out Shank 2 myself. I'm a big fan of 2d Side Scrollers.
EDIT: Check out God Hand if you haven't already. It's just all kinds of fantastic. |
Also picked up Romance of the 7 Kingdoms IV because the cover looked pretty.
I was browsing the PSN exclusives (since I probably haven't played near any of them, except...Flower?) Dead Nation Pixeljunk Shooter 1/2 Fat Princess Journey Anybody recommend the above? And no I'm not fucking ever paying money for Noby Noby Boy. |
I'd recommend Prototype but you have the disc argument and then Walmart's are offering it free with Prototype 2 when you buy it from them when it comes out on the 24th.
Scott Pilgrim versus the World is a pretty fun fighting game. |
Well, for PSone Classics, I would say Suikoden, Breath of Fire 4, Wild Arms, and Front Mission 3. Just to give you a few that are probably off the beaten Final Fantasy path.
As far as PSOne RPGs go, you can't really go wrong. The PSOne Classics' rpg section read like a highlights album (With some cases of egregious and heartbreaking overlooking of great games by someone. WHY YOU NO PUT SUIKODEN II ON THE PSN KONAMI?) inFAMOUS: Festival of Blood is okay if you want more inFAMOUS 2. WITH VAMPIRES. I don't think it was released on disc, since it is basically DLC. PixelJunk anything is a pretty safe bet. The Ico & Shadow of the Colossus Collection. Buy it. On Disc even. Re-recommending Odin Sphere. That game is GORGEOUS. I've heard good things about Journey. |
I hear that Castlevania: Harmony of Despair is pretty good. It's an online multiplayer Castlevania where you play as one of any number of protagonists from across the entire series. There is extremely little story. It's really just an excuse to go bopping around various chapters based off the more iconic bits from the previous games.
And yes, it does lead to a weird time-paradoxy thing where Soma Cruz can wind up with a Dracula soul in his arsenal. Apparently, there's some grind, though. Probably less if you don't play as Soma. |
Get Journey. It's short, but beautiful and amazing and the multiplayer component is brilliant.
