Wearing it is equipment. Having it built in is a Special. Equipment armor could be ripped or knocked off by an enemy. Built in armor couldn't be removed exept through death or a whole lot of pain...

Hmm, I see, I see... How many cannonballs can a reanimated carry?

Kazastankas 06-02-2004 05:11 AM

Hmm. If possible, how about a Rune of Shaping, that can shape the silver of the spiked chain to form it into another weapon?

Forever Zero 06-02-2004 11:32 AM

Dante: Normally, about 10 I believe. However you could take an ammo pack that double it to 20.

Kaz: No, a rune that lets you shift it to whatever you want? No, that's way too much magic. Try again.

Heh, I have a feeling that those re-tries can become spam. How about lightning/electricity?

Forever Zero 06-02-2004 11:43 AM

I'll allow lightning and electricity.

And the re-tries don't become spam until they lead off into pointless discussions that are only one line long (And are pointless discussions are much longer then one line...). As long as they stay on the topic of the RP, even though they are short, I'm sure they're okay.

How important are Athletics in melee fighting? Does high points in a melee fighting skill cover what Athletics would do for melee fighting (At least at a basic level)?

And would brass knuckles/claws count as a melee weapon, or just unarmed fighting with a little boost?

BMHadoken 06-02-2004 07:39 PM

So wait, what exactly are re-tries and what is the dice rolls gunna cover?

Forever Zero 06-02-2004 07:55 PM

Athletics is most things like did you make that long jump, did you successfuly climb that wall, etc. Unarmed would be did my fist/foot connect with the enemy, and how much damage did it do. Melee would be did my sword connect with the enemy, and do as much damage as possible. So no, athletics can't really replace lower level skills. And yes, brass knuckles of claws qould count as Unarmed still, not melee.

For normal battle type stuff, dice rolls won't be important. If you are taking on the low level grunts, just have at it. But for the big or important events, I will figure a way to get dice rolls in there. If you are trying to jump that 6 foot gap unaided, or if you are trying to use your pistol to off a target 100 feet away, or to see if your bullets are hitting anything vital in that charging werewolf that might slow it down, I'll do a dice roll based on your skill in the category.

A roll for a 6 foot jump?
