Someone seriously needs to post the log from last night. That was amazing.

Go Team Awful =D

Krylo 08-12-2012 07:56 PM

Lumen: Your guy looks fine. Teal asked first, though, and he's got some time yet to finish up with his sheets.

You'll be in dock for the next death.

The only issue I have is that the 'murder all DBs' thing might not mesh well with Semera, and doesn't seem to actually be his motivation now that he's seeking redemption (the killing all the dragonblood would do more harm than good realization).

Everyone else: I'm pondering making a pad for this. We would still be using the chat for the actual game, and there wouldn't be much canon stuff put up there, but it'd be a place we could talk about the game without filling the Landry pad with it, and could basically act as a 'landryfun' pad except for our exalted game, without mussing up the thread (which I'd like to save for logs and srsbzns stuff so it's easier to navigate).

I'm mostly asking if there's interest in this before I do so.

Not in particular from my end, but if it is clogging the Landrypad I'm sure you'll have to.

Hey remember when we realised that solving all our problems by riding a magical hurricane to wherever we want was totally a thing we could do?

BECAUSE IT WAS TOTALLY A THING WE COULD DO!!!

Steel Shadow 08-13-2012 12:11 PM

It was a thing we could do and it totally threw Krylo's notes out the window! Kaimi should be proud!

Things I have learned this session:

1. Gary is not such a bad chap. Sure, he may screw us over from time to time, but the man has such a magnificent sense of timing.

2. I may be useless for the rest of the campaign, but being cripplingly overspecialised for this one single evening was 100% worth it.

3. Disposing of a doomsday device is harder than it looks. I have a new level of sympathy for Batman.

4. Attuning non-Solar artefacts is a bitch.

And a pad sounds pretty useful. We do clutter the Landry one up a ton, plus it gives us a place to plan!

Girasol of Chaos 08-14-2012 01:29 AM

What did I learn?

1. Currents is a pretty cool guy and totally didn't see this coming.

2. We got to play dress up. We are good at dress-up.

3. Walking dinner is awesome.

4. Garret was ready for this. Holy crap, that was a solo mission.

5. I am now playing Crazy Taxi with Exalts.

I wouldn't mind having a pad so we don't clutter the Landry pad

We have a pad. Fill it with silliness at your leisure.

Ok, wasn't entirely happy with just porting over a character without regard for the actual circumstances, and I saw this cool thing and got a go ahead from krylo, so here's Calm II.

Pre-meetup storyLittle is known about Calm's life before taking her Second Breath because she hasn't made a point of talking about it to anyone, even those now close to her. Personally, she finds herself caring less and less about what happened before her death. On a long enough timeline death becomes a certainty, and whatever comes before becomes irrelevant.

Post-Exaltation, after Calm accepted enormous power but without a guide to show her some way to channel it, she sublimated her rage at her situation into killing, usually for a price as her newly specialized skills made her quite in demand. But soon she found that killing the filth of Creation was too draining and found her way to the Underworld. Here she found herself at ease at last, at home and accepted by the ghosts populating the shadowlands and mirror world. She soon put herself to work, not for money but for purpose: killing would be war lords seeking new territory, grave desecrators, any who would prey on the deceased.

Eventually she came to the attention of a Deathlord, a being she could barely conceive of even in the realm they claimed to rule. A nephwrack and hekantohire came to the mini-necropoli she had settled in, bringing her a gift of soulsteel and the promise of dominion over the dead, if only she would accept a yoke. She used the scythe to chop off the nephwrack's head and sent the hekantohire back to its master with her simple message: Death is inevitable, while suffering is avoidable, and she would enforce the former on any who seek to ensure the latter.

Since then the Deathlords have either lost interest or are planning their revenge, while assorted ghosts now seek out her and her small holdout against oppression. She has taken the time to work out what she wants to do: Free her fellow Exalted of the Deathlord's Monstrance grip, including erasing any mention of the Abyssal name as it ties them to the nihilism of the Void, and establish a Penumbral banner to recognize their Solar heritage while fully honoring the duty they possess to the dead. She has recently heard about a rumor of someone in [Wherever the campaign is when she starts] who might know how to destroy the Monstrances, and she's decided to become proactive.

I suppose it behooves me to express interest in the fact that Krylo expressed interest in my expression of interest in wanting to join this game.

In that vein, I'm considering a dispossessed Icewalker trained by a realm sword school who exalted in one of the northwestern coasts of the inner sea. Of my most famous invincible sword princess archetype. Further background when it becomes necessary/there's an opening.

Dead Waters, Episode 4: a New Hope?!

Last week we got cut a litle short due to the forums crashing.

We learned:

1) We must take the Ring to Mordor.

2) The Ring is zombie plague.

3) Mordor is the Mouth of Oblivion.

4) We must take Kaimi's family to An-Teng.

5) Because Abyssals might murder them otherwise.

6) Syren is not a team player due to his hatred of An-Teng.

7) The team loves the brainwashing.
