A world without anime?!

This is just a little thought that went through my head and im sure alot of people have wondered and even feared this too.

What would happen if the U.S. stopped importing anime, manga, videogames, ect from Japan? Alot of people would not be happy, thats for sure.

I have nothing agenst Japan, it was just a thought.

I would be ok with it.

It'd be a cold dark and dismal place indeed. lol

It would solve alot of problems I have with Anime in America and I can find ALL the Anime from other sources.

On the downside, alot of people wouldn't be exposed to it and that's sad. We'd efffectivly be pushed back to the 60's in terms of Anime in America. Also, alot of Anime companies at the present time are using American funds to produce their shows so some shows might not get made.

So, I'd rather it didn't, although personally there's things that would make it better for me if it did. Again, I wish to stress that I DON'T wish this would happen though (for all those who want to start flaming me for whatever reason).

It'd still find ways here.
Especially now that what's done is done.

Eh, licensing companies still have more than enough reason to keep it up.

Okay, first, you really need to properly label your threads. America is not the whole GD world.

Considering this is unrealistic since greedy American corporations want money and at the moment Japan's products are a major source of money, they won't do this. Also, this would mean all we'd have for consoles would be the X-Box, and the only games we could play would be Halo, Half-Life, Star Wars games, and...that's about it. But, this would be a monopoly, which is against government policy.

If anything, just move to Canada. Their stuff are Region 1, too. Or be like me and move to Japan.

Or for the bootleggers, well, that means free anime for all. Since America would no longer have distribution rights to anything from Japan, you could download it all you want, and no one would give a care about legality issues.

We'd also probably have to destroy alot of companies and cartoons...outsourcing and all.

Ahhh, if you want good stuff go to the Asian countries. Right from the source and whatnot...
