My steam Library is separated into four categories. In addition to the standard "Favorites" and "Everything else" I added two custom categories of "Not Finished" and "Haven't Started." I haven't bothered to count, but I'm pretty sure over half the games I own are split between those two categories.

Bought XCOM a couple days ago for $30. Most expensive purchase I've made on Steam and despite that it feels like it was most valuable in terms of the amount of hours I've already sunk into the game.

I feel like you always get those situations with Steam where you buy something on Steam based off the hype around it because it's on sale for cheap but you never end up playing it that much when you do buy it. Thankfully XCOM has been more than worth it although my College Writing final paper isn't too happy about my enjoyment with the game right now.

i try very much to focus any purchases i make on steam in the "Multiplayer" group, just cause that for me, it's where i'm going to get more value from. Also makes it easier to dodge some sales if they are for games that none of my friends have or don't have multiplayer at all.

I consider myself having bought half a game, insofar as it's the expansion to Civ 5.

I'm with Kim. I don't get why Steam sales are so addicting to people.

I have a back log of games to play, and not much time, so I don't even bother looking, since I'm too lazy to look at prices or try to find games that I might play.

Because instead of going "I don't need to buy this, I can just play one of the dozens of games I haven't played yet, and by the time I work through my backlog there will be another sale" like a rational person, I go "aaahhhh it's on sale, buy it, buy it, buy it, buy it, buy it!!!!!"

I have a master plan to slowly buy everything so I no longer have to buy anything.

I am at 612 right now apparently.
