Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicle series

Nintendo and Square-Enix are back for others Final Fantasies and this time it's for sure. I know this has been talked about in a Nintendo DS thread but that died long ago and probably closed and it was a rumor. So, back to the topic I think they are going to make like Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicle I and Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicle II and so on (if it works well which it will i think).

Also if any one need proof it says it here http://www.nintendo.com/e3_2004/ds/ds_software.jsp at the bottom on the list of games coming out under Square. Also there seem to be more titles coming out so it my might mean other Final Fantasies. If anybody has picture post them or send or something.

Square should make a final fantasy game for x-box, then they would be covering all the fields, more system coverage means more moola.

Bombshell 06-03-2004 05:37 PM

Yeah they've made FF for I think all the systems except X-box their so dumb to not put a FF game on X-box even though I also have Gamecube and Game boy advance in addition to my X-box.

While I'm sure it'd be nice for XBox-owners to finally get a good RPG on the system, I don't see Square releasing an FF on a Microsoft system for this generation at least. The RPG crowd is generally pretty faithful to Playstation, anyways, if only because it's the only system that has the majority of current RPGs on it.

Plus, the X-Box already has plenty of *snicker* quality RPGs...I mean, there's KotOR...and...that...well, True Fantasy Spectacular Living Online Web Game got cancelled...

KefkaTaran 06-03-2004 07:48 PM

True Fantasy Online got cancelled? Wow. Hadn't heard. :p

Fable looks good if it ever comes out.

Vivi Ornitier 06-03-2004 09:30 PM

Well yeah sure it be nice to see a FF on X-Box, but I don't care because I don't have an X-Box. So I rather have them come out on Gamecube since Square did start on Nintendo but then again all old other games started on Nintendo. I think they should have made FFXI on all consoles, even on X-Box because they have the largest online thing. But then it probably wouldn't have come out on Gamecube because it has one or two online games.

BMHadoken 06-03-2004 09:35 PM

Gamecube would have taken FF11 offline and added some GBA and friends stuff...and it would just be mean to have it on Xbox, like taking a piece of lunchmeat off a rack of steak and dangling in front of a lot of people...

FF:XI on Xbox would have been nice but weird full voice chat, but with so many people on it could've gotten all jumbled up

While Walking through town one day "LVL 15 BLACK MAGE LOOKING FOR PARTY!, X-ITEM ONLY 16000 GIL, NEWBIE NEEDS HELP!" all in your ear at once in different accents, not a happy moment

FFXI isn't possible on XBox by virtue of diskspace alone. It takes up roughly 12GB alone on the PS2 HDD.

I think the one thing that a lot of people overlook when considering why S-E doesn't release games on the Xbox is the lack of domestic support. The XBox has sold miserably in Japan; If they can't cater to their home market, they aren't going to develop for it in the first place. If they're not releasing games in their home country to begin with, then there's nothing for them to translate and release here.

As for FFCC, I'm waiting until it hits GH, and then I'll probably grab a copy.
