Interest Check : Minecraft Survival Marathon
 

So, let's see if these seeds bear fruit.

Here is the concept.

A Group of players from the forum... ideal 5-7 players.

Everybody logs in Minecraft, brand new world, brand new map. Hardcore Survival.

You die once, you are out of the game.

Everything recorded, everybody chatting during the whole session.

We start at a designated time that works for everybody that is late in the night and in move towards the dawn (or until sleepy sleepy tiemz) booze and food are authorized to make you stand longer and party harder and sound funnier.

Just one, big, stupid minecraft marathon where the goal is survival.

I know some of you are up for that type of stuff, but we need a team and some organization to pull this off. I can gladly record everything, edit it and make it available to all. Or we can just livestream it if some of you have the bandwidth to pull it off.

So, i'm now officially checking your interest in this and trying to coordinate the best date and time for it.

We can easily pull that off :D

Also, I can play any day, at any time.

I'm up for streaming this. Wouldn't hurt if you, or others, recorded it as well for multiple perspective fun.

My fraps is well configured to record lengthy sessions with minimal lag and direct output of the video for a youtube-friendly quality format, so that is super easy.

Actually the only hurdle would be to record all the voice feeds from everybody, i THINK skype is the easiest way to do this, but it's a payed feature i think...?

Skype is free for just calls and stuff. You need to pay (or get a free trial) for video conferences (and maybe other stuff). But regular group calls is still free.

And then you just need to make sure FRAPs is set to record your input sound as well as the output (so it records you talking into your mic in addition to us, and game sound).

Interested, though my schedule does vary so there may be times when my shenanigans are used to terrorize my town instead of the NPF minecraft town.

So long as voice chatting isn't needed, I'm in.

Hell, might be fun to see an unarmed, unarmored girl fist a creeper to death.

oh i wouldn't xpect anything to be mandatory, anybody can join in. More people playing is better than more people talking!

Usually what works best for y'all? i'm thinkin one week ahead: Friday to Saturday or Saturday to Sunday?

If it can happen when I get back from my cruise, (May 15th) I am up for that shit. If not, I will post my probably incredibly short survivalogue in this thread or something.

Time travel cruises? Damn you're extravagant.
