Help with SNES9X!
I recently downloaded SNES9X and FF 2 (4) and want to know how to run from battles. What key(s) do I press? Is running even an option?
|
Tsk, tsk... ZSNES is the only way to go... I would assume it would be the universal constants, and thus hold L and R and you might run away, ala FFVI...
|
Should be by holding L & R, which is, by default, the D & C keys.

SNES9X is better.
And you can set up the controller any way you want. Simply go to the menu, controls -> Joypad Settings. If the menu isn't coming up for you for some reason, hit Esc on your keyboard. If you don't have a joystick with more than 4 buttons, you will have to set 2 Keyboard buttons to act as R and L (this will be the case for both ZNES and SNES9X). And SNES9x is better. Most stable Emulator I have ever seen. Even considering some 'official' ones like the buyable PSX ones. Just takes some learning how to change everything on it (basically, more commands and abilities to change visual quality = more work needed to be able to learn how to make them happen). |
Good, now I can go into a random encounter without young Rydia (30 beepin' HP!) getting killed.

Yeah, I think FFIV is way too unbalanced for oh..the first 20 hours of the game......everyone just dies on me except Cecil (the monster of HP he is). They should have given you a Knights Crest or something in the beginning of the game so he could guard weak people. I mean, come on....he's a knight.

I had more problems towards the end of FFIV than the beginning.

one thing i love about the emu's is the turbo butten :) tab kicks ass

I haven't tried it yet, but can you flee from battles in Crono Trigger?
|
Yes, and it's even the same button combo. It's something I had to do a lot of in my LL run.
