What to put on my ipad

I got an ipad for christmas (ipad air if you were curious) but haven't used it much mostly because my smartphone while smaller gets internet anywhere and while at home I usually just use my computer.

So I'm looking for suggestions of things that dont require constant internet access and good to take on the go, or something for at home where a tablet is more convenient than a desktop. This goes for games, books, magazines, tv shows, movies, utility, ect.

Lately I've been using it to read shonen jump (abit annoyed I need internet access to read it), and watching netflix on those rare occasions I dont feel like sitting at a desk.

I am also fine with buying apps or subscribing to get content as long as its worth it. Don't want to go crazy but an extra 5-10 bucks out of my paycheck a month wont kill me.

Similar position to you, I got a Visual Land Prestige 7D tablet for Christmas that I've mostly been using as an e-reader. Currently I've been catching up on a backlog of DC's Batman '66 series. I'm a little annoyed since my Mental Floss print subscription comes with a free iPad version, but nothing similar for Android tablets (or at least nothing similar that doesn't run like garbage).

Anyways, in general if you have any existing magazine subscriptions, see if your current print sub gets you access to a digital version.

My tablet is pretty much a mobile media service. Since it's portable and the screen is just big enough to run a decent movie in good quality. So i tend to go with that. There are several players you can add (usually better than the native ones on Android AND IOS) which are also free.

So, unless you ave some practical need for a tablet, like, for work or Table top RPG companion and the such, with a phone and a PC readily avaliable, the Tablet really is more suitable for reading and watching stuff on the go.

Damn! Skweeb beat me to it. I was going to suggest a brick. At high velocity.

Don't mind me, though. I hate on Apple every chance I get for reasons that are my own, and which may not be entirely logical to others.

Pinball Arcade has one free table with the download (which is free) and one free trial table per month which they swap out each month. You can also buy more tables but dunno if you want to put the money into it when you (eventually) get to play every table anyway. I did but I'm pretty into pinball. Also that was on PS3, not iPad, but I've played the iPad version and liked it well enough.

The interesting thing about Pinball Arcade are the physics which are probably the best physics at the moment in pinball, and the fact that they attempt to emulate real tables with gameplay as close as possible to the original.

The free table that stays the same is Tales of the Arabian Nights which is one of the best pinball tables of all time, so there's that.

Can someone explain the difference between Flappy Bird and Machine Gun Jetpack?
