Super Time Force! - Or WHY DIDN'T ANYONE TELL ME ABOUT THIS BEFORE!

I am so angry/happy with everything right now I could cry.

SERIOUSLY, LOOK AT THIS

This is my dream game. The game I have been wanting to play since forever! The game I always wanted to make! Why have I not heard about it before today!

I mean, Its glorious. The concept of the game is simple. Make the world more radical via Time Travel.

How do you do that? Shooting EVERYTHING.

The game starts out as a modified contra/metal slug clone. Your a lone soldier with a gun against an army. But then it starts getting interesting. At any time you can "Time out" and swap to another character who has various special abilities. Allowing for some Metroidvanian elements.

Now, Pay attention: this is about to get complicated. When you Time Out you can travel BACK IN TIME and Reappear alongside your past self. Your past self then does everything you have already done while you play around him. If you die (which you will a lot thanks to you being a One Hit Wonder) You can go back in time and SAVE YOURSELF Turning your past self into a Powerup. This power up ether grants you DOUBLE fire power in your special ability or grants another's ability on top of your own!

Now he comes the kicker. Every level is timed. You have to complete every level in ~60 seconds. You can't just run and gun ether. You have to call on your teammates/past selves to do enough damage to the bosses/minibosses in time. And don't think you can just jump back all willy nilly. You have a limited number of "Time Outs" that you can use.

This along side some interesting twists to cliche Shooter challenges makes this game so god damned glorious.

Then their is the story. Which I swear was written by a drunk man and a ten year old from the 80s/early 90s. It is filled with the most hilariously stupid things complicated by time travel and all its mind bending qualities.

It's currently out on the Xboxes (xboxi?) at the moment but is said to come out on steam and possibly itunes soon.

I have been ready to be hyped about this since today. When it comes out on steam I'll have been ready to dump an absurd amount of time into it.

Yeah, this looks pretty amazing. I wish it was on Steam already because this looks INSANELY fun. It's a very clever concept and the post-level replay looks AWESOME, like a choreographed fight scene, even when you die.

Also, I love how into the game the Best Friends Zaibatsu are. I like listening to them as they try to figure out the best plan of attack, because they seem legitimately interested in what's going on and aren't just trying to make jokes the whole time.

I'm glad you made the appropriate edits to your post Doc. It was unacceptable in its previous state.

And after watching the video, I'm now debating on if I want to buy it on my 360 or wait for it to come out on Steam.

One of the best platformers coming out, and it showing that 2D is far from becoming stale. Really can't wait to buy this off steam once it comes out. X3

buy it, buy it right now. No dont wait for a sale. Dont wait for it on steam. Buy it twice if you have to. In fact buy it twice anyway just to give them more money.

Not only is this game downright addictive (I am currently trying to resist the urge to play more as I want to savor it... not working too well), but the writing is hilarious too. This is easily the funnest game I've played in a long time

[edit] oh and videos dont due it justice. As fun as it looks, actually playing it and getting to make those different choices and replays is far more enjoyable than it looks and it looks pretty freakin awesome
