I'm still trying to figure out how to respond to a pimp on our team. He's not going to be constantly saying "I pity da foo'" is he? And like IHMN said, the armor is a bit too much.

Appearance: 6'0 with auburn hair, brown eyes and a slightly athletic build. She can usually be found wearing her paramedic uniform which consists of a blue or black paramedic shirt and jeans with black work boots and her EMS jacket.
Equipment: Trauma bag which contains seringes and various fluids (like salene), bandages and gauze, burn gel, scissors, masks, gloves, and other medical supplies. A boot knife and a 99 millimeter gun for protection and a standard issue EMS First Response Ambulance.
Bio: Paige works as a paramedic on the lower level, so she has seen her share of horrors. She diligently is known always as "first on the scene, first to leave" and boasts a very fast transport time. She has lived in Aeron all her life, being born on the lower level. She wanted to help those whom she saw getting hurt everyday, so she joined the ambulance corps.

Hmm. I wanted his coat to be a slightly upgraded version of modern-day personal armor. If he gets hit by a shotgun or a powerful handgun, there's going to be massive blunt force trauma. It's like getting hit by a sledgehammer or a thrown brick - it may not break the skin, but it'll hurt like hell, and it can cause broken bones, concussions or even death with just one shot.

He's not invulnerable - the armor just covers for him in case he can't get to cover in time. There's a ceramic hard plate over his chest which *is* proof against rifle rounds, but it's over his heart, and not very big. In any case, he only wears it when he's expecting trouble.

And Masta P won't be in gutta-talk mode all the time. He's respectable now, y'know?

It has Kevlar and ceramic plating, I guess, so it wouldn't be too far off for it to stop pistol shots, but a shotgun blast from close range would probably rip through it.

It wouldn't pierce the skin, but it would break every bone under the protected area, which is just as bad. And it would stun him with pain.

I think we can come to the concesus here that it generally hurts to get shot.

What should the limit on having your own transport be? I know batgirl mentioned something about an ambulence, and my archaeologist could use a travel-worn jeep.

Well, Masta P can whistle up a fleet of Pimpmobiles...but I say he walks. Masta P don't like cars much. They can blow up.

How about if we get a big black van with "A-Team" painted in white on the side?

I don't really mind if you have your own transportation at the begining of the RP, as long as it's reasonable. (no hovercars for the poor people or big black A-team vans) But don't be expecting to keep those vehicles for very long. heh heh heh. Oops. Did I say that out loud?
