Delmenon's people didn't know much of geography, but his father and mother had both adventured when they were younger, (young men and women of the tribes often went on quests), Delmenon himself knew it was to the Northeast, atop an immense floating disk of metal, "There is a mighty mountain far North and East of here, and near it are vast plainlands. In the sky near there floats an immense disk of metal, carved and enspelled with runes, and the city of the Avariel is built on top of it."

ooc: I'm an ogre
ic: The brothers watched the elf fall asleep, at this moment, Cho'gond reached down and was promptly smacked on the hand for his attempt at eating the elf "WHAT?!?!" he yelled at his brother, and snickered when the elf jumped awake. "We can't eat an Evil!!! Judas would kill us!!!" "Since when was Us scared of Squishie Elf?!" "Since Squishie Elf proved she COULD kill us!" |
"It must be beautiful." Jericho said wistfully. "merely to have a city in the air is an accomplishment in and of itself, their civilization must have been extremely advanced before it was conquered."
********************** As Gwaethir set down, he was confronted by Judas, who emerged from the nearby forest. "Did you learn anything?" she asked suspiciously. "Did they retrieve the Drow?" |
Gwaethir looked down his nose at her, wondering where a landbound crawler who had done so poorly in the battle thought she gained the right to speak to him that way, "First of all, what I learned is my own business.....you are hardly my superior, and as such I do NOT take orders from you, is that clear?" he smirked, "Perhaps when I receive an answer, I will deign to give you some tidbit of information.....until then you can remain in the dark. One more thing, you will speak in a civil tone to me, or you will learn nothing."
************************************************** ******** Delmenon nodded, "Aye, but what has the Hurricane done to it, I wonder? You're right, the Avariel were an extremely advanced people, though small in number.....this might be why Gwaethir has such powerful equipment, and how he can remain so agile in his armor. Avariel armor is reputedly as light as a feather, yet far stronger than steel...." |
Jericho nodded. "Yes, it was said in times of yore that the Avariels were actually the guardians of the Earth, and many humans believed that they were actually Arch-Angels."
He stopped in front of the Inn's door and opened it for his friend. "...But I digress. We must alert our friends to our decision, and head for the City in the Clouds in the morning." *********************** Anger flashed within Judas' Crystal eyes. She leaped at Gwaethir, catching him by surprise and knocking him from the air. He landed with Judas on top of his chest, straddling him and pinning his arms with unnatural strength. "I give orders to whomever I please!" she intoned icily. "Do not triffle with me, Elf; I know far more than you could ever imagine!" With that, all anger faded from her eyes, and was replaced with a cruel smile. She bent down so her lips nearly met his ear. "I know what they did to her so long ago... I know how they tortured you so... I know what caused you to become what you are... I was there!" Gwaethir kicked Judas off of him, but she landed gacefully meters away, cruel grin still firmly planted on her face. Ooc: Got to go to the Bank. I'll be back in about an hour. Later. |
I will come to but not into the city I would be noticed in an instant but i will make a fort where you can run to incase you are atacked and about the earlier balance discussion me and lance are evils so unless you plan to atack us there will be some balance
|
Gwaethir leapt back into the air, "Perhaps I should drop a tree on your head? What did you expect me to do when you reminded me of what happened to her, cry? I'm merely more determined to get revenge now, and for that I thank you, little trollop." He spun the blunt, heavy end of one of his Spiked Chains into her belly, deactivating the Force enchantment so that she was merely knocked down, the wind knocked out of her, tears coming from her eyes as she struggled to get her breath back, "That, however, is for presuming too much of your own power......I would kill you here and now, by suffocation if by nothing else.......but I will need you alive to acheive my ends. Now go fetch the others, and be quick about it!"
|
Ziff had just awoken. "I can't belive I fell out of that escape way. Well it's a good thing I didn't break anything after the fall." Lance stared at Ziff, then turned around. "Ziff you did die. I having the power of fire. Fire reborns fire or earth reborns anything. That's how you made the fall." Ziff was upset now. "Wow. I... I... I died."
|
Judas stood to her full height, ignoring the pain in her chest.
"I would drown you where you float before you could batt an eyelash!" She threatened Icily. "The group is already meeting here within the hour to give their reports, so if you want to talk to them, I suggest you sit your glorified little ass down and wait." |
Tanthalas watched Gwaethir and Judas, grinning. Unsuspectingly, he emerged behind Judas and put his hand to her neck, sending 30,000 volts of electricity into the Evil of Water.
************************************************** ******** Tamona and Talos came back to Jericho and Delmenon. "I have a better idea," the female drow said. "How about Talos simply possesses an Avariel and strolls through the city, unnoticed. Talos, meanwhile, stood silently behind his sister. |
