Derek just shrugged and turned around heading for the doors, with the full intent to go home. It was his policy not to turn over his 'babies', which ate up more money than his food bills each month, to anyone. They were his meal ticket, and if he lost them, he wouldn't be able to replace them. Besides, he lived in a bad neighborhood. Not that there were 'good' neighborhoods in the slums, crime was just a fact of life.

He let out a bit of a sigh as he walked. 'Guess it's rat hunting again tonight.'

Bill still had work to do on finding the escaped criminal, so he left the hospital after the insane man was taken away. Tomorrow he would come visit and question him a little, but for now he was going to go bar hopping and try to find his escapee.

As with hospital policy, Paige followed the injured man into the emergency room to further brief and aid the nurses and doctors until they had all the information.
