Zechs reached the inn and threw down the staff pulling back his hood and resting inside the inn.
"Halt you there. You're the foul fiend who nearly destroyed the castle." came a voice from in front of him. Two guards, that followed him. "So you caugght me" Zechs replied . He picked his stick off the ground. "I suppose you want to escort me back to the castle." The guard nodded, and Zechs began to walk back out. He reached the doorway before he tripped. He twisted around and landed his back leaving him facing his so called captors. He mcursed something under his breath and to is suprise a fireball erupted from the end of his staff and toward the guards. It hit the guards setting them ablaze. They ran back into the inn while all the guest ran out. The guards flailed around inside causing the inn to catch on fire. The downward stairwell colapsed and all the guest on the lower levels found themselves trapped in the burning flame along with the guards. The inn burned down while Zechs ran away from the angry mob that was inevatably forming. He came back to the ashes after all were gone and found a nice spot to sleep one. OOC: There Dragonsbane the inn conveniently caught fire, dirk conveniently was trapped, and thusforth considered dead. Happy days for you. |
OOC: Cities have more then one inn you know. And a vampire could easily escape from a puny fire. You can consider him dead if you want, but even if it was his inn that burnt down, he could still easily escape.
|
OOC: Ehhh you cant please everyone unles I go on a mass fire spree and kill everyone everywhere and get a 60 billion double GP bounty on my head errr wait.
|
OOC: this is why vamps are a bad idea.....IHMN forgets that if one bit of his clothing is burned away, the sun will shine through to his skin and disintegrate him. This is also why certain people shouldn't be allowed to RP vampires.....
|
OOC: 1) A piece of clothing will take at least 5 seconds to burn when directly on a fire. Moving things don't get caught on fire as quickly. Of course, Dirk isn't going to just stand there letting his cloak get caught on fire.
2) His cloak is lined with layers of leather, leather takes even longer to burn. 3) He is in a cellar, the fire wouldn't even spred down there. 4) Even if it did, everything is on fire and he's a vampire. He can just bust through anything since the fire made everything weak, then run to another building. 5) Dirk can last 30 seconds in the sun before burning to death. 6) Animal form may or may not be affected by the sun (I forgot how this was decided, but I remember animals not being affected by sunlight). See, I like Dirk, and instead of having him die because you just want him to while you continue this dying RP, I rather keep him alive for two reasons. A) I don't want him dead. B) In case you some how make this RP actuall active again, I still have a character. |
OOC: actually, the building would collapse on him.....and the fire would spread down there, it would be one big, hot, bed of embers. He couldn't burst through an entire collapsed building, he isn't the Incredible Hulk.....
leather burns fairly well in these temperatures. When the hell did we decide that you get 30 seconds of sun exposure before you die? Heck, that's long enough to give you time to get to shade/shelter in most cases.... If you think this is a dying RP, then leave......you and Dirk won't be missed (by me, at least). OOH!!! IDEA!!!! Vampire Hunter's convention is in town! |
OOC: Cellars usually are stone built, so if there is a fire, it will not spread to there. Especially if the inn has a bar, the cellar would have wine in it, which would mean that it's built around stone. And if it was wood, then Dirk would leave before the entire building collapsed (Smell the smoke, hear the screams), so he would just get out of the cellar and leave by the closest exit (Be it a door, or a burning wall).
Dirk has always been able survive for 30 seconds in the sun. That's why he is 1000 years old. The point of it so if he is ever stuck in the sun, he can escape to shade before he is dead, though he would be burnt. And I am leaving, at the moment. It's smarter to leave by having a character disappear, not die, so if the player wants to return, they can. |
OOC: he was never able to survive 30 seconds in the sun, I don't care how old he is...
|
OOC: Yes he was, it was brought up like 20 times.
|
OOC: and contested 20 times! And argued about 20 times! Sheesh.......Just because you whine about it doesn't mean your character is invincible! It's just like that twinky Mage Hunter you designed before!
