Zechs reached the inn and threw down the staff pulling back his hood and resting inside the inn.

"Halt you there. You're the foul fiend who nearly destroyed the castle." came a voice from in front of him. Two guards, that followed him.

"So you caugght me" Zechs replied . He picked his stick off the ground. "I suppose you want to escort me back to the castle." The guard nodded, and Zechs began to walk back out. He reached the doorway before he tripped. He twisted around and landed his back leaving him facing his so called captors. He mcursed something under his breath and to is suprise a fireball erupted from the end of his staff and toward the guards. It hit the guards setting them ablaze. They ran back into the inn while all the guest ran out.

The guards flailed around inside causing the inn to catch on fire. The downward stairwell colapsed and all the guest on the lower levels found themselves trapped in the burning flame along with the guards. The inn burned down while Zechs ran away from the angry mob that was inevatably forming. He came back to the ashes after all were gone and found a nice spot to sleep one.

OOC: There Dragonsbane the inn conveniently caught fire, dirk conveniently was trapped, and thusforth considered dead. Happy days for you.

IHateMakingNames 07-10-2004 10:10 PM

OOC: Cities have more then one inn you know. And a vampire could easily escape from a puny fire. You can consider him dead if you want, but even if it was his inn that burnt down, he could still easily escape.

h4x.m4g3 07-11-2004 02:19 AM

OOC: Ehhh you cant please everyone unles I go on a mass fire spree and kill everyone everywhere and get a 60 billion double GP bounty on my head errr wait.

Dragonsbane 07-11-2004 06:37 AM

OOC: this is why vamps are a bad idea.....IHMN forgets that if one bit of his clothing is burned away, the sun will shine through to his skin and disintegrate him. This is also why certain people shouldn't be allowed to RP vampires.....

IHateMakingNames 07-11-2004 08:21 AM

OOC: 1) A piece of clothing will take at least 5 seconds to burn when directly on a fire. Moving things don't get caught on fire as quickly. Of course, Dirk isn't going to just stand there letting his cloak get caught on fire.

2) His cloak is lined with layers of leather, leather takes even longer to burn.

3) He is in a cellar, the fire wouldn't even spred down there.

4) Even if it did, everything is on fire and he's a vampire. He can just bust through anything since the fire made everything weak, then run to another building.

5) Dirk can last 30 seconds in the sun before burning to death.

6) Animal form may or may not be affected by the sun (I forgot how this was decided, but I remember animals not being affected by sunlight).

See, I like Dirk, and instead of having him die because you just want him to while you continue this dying RP, I rather keep him alive for two reasons. A) I don't want him dead. B) In case you some how make this RP actuall active again, I still have a character.

Dragonsbane 07-11-2004 11:46 AM

OOC: actually, the building would collapse on him.....and the fire would spread down there, it would be one big, hot, bed of embers. He couldn't burst through an entire collapsed building, he isn't the Incredible Hulk.....

leather burns fairly well in these temperatures. When the hell did we decide that you get 30 seconds of sun exposure before you die? Heck, that's long enough to give you time to get to shade/shelter in most cases....

If you think this is a dying RP, then leave......you and Dirk won't be missed (by me, at least).

OOH!!! IDEA!!!! Vampire Hunter's convention is in town!

IHateMakingNames 07-11-2004 11:56 AM

OOC: Cellars usually are stone built, so if there is a fire, it will not spread to there. Especially if the inn has a bar, the cellar would have wine in it, which would mean that it's built around stone. And if it was wood, then Dirk would leave before the entire building collapsed (Smell the smoke, hear the screams), so he would just get out of the cellar and leave by the closest exit (Be it a door, or a burning wall).

Dirk has always been able survive for 30 seconds in the sun. That's why he is 1000 years old. The point of it so if he is ever stuck in the sun, he can escape to shade before he is dead, though he would be burnt.

And I am leaving, at the moment. It's smarter to leave by having a character disappear, not die, so if the player wants to return, they can.

Dragonsbane 07-11-2004 12:25 PM

OOC: he was never able to survive 30 seconds in the sun, I don't care how old he is...

IHateMakingNames 07-11-2004 12:26 PM

OOC: Yes he was, it was brought up like 20 times.

Dragonsbane 07-11-2004 12:49 PM

OOC: and contested 20 times! And argued about 20 times! Sheesh.......Just because you whine about it doesn't mean your character is invincible! It's just like that twinky Mage Hunter you designed before!

IHateMakingNames 07-11-2004 12:55 PM

OOC: It was never argued about. It was ok because most older vampire can stay in the sun for a little bit, and not instantly die. And originally, this was a big team RP, remember? A lot of the travelling would be during the day, and my guy would have to travel during the day. So if they got attacked, or the wind blew his cloak open, he would not instantly die. No one had a problem with it, except you I guess. Just because you whine about it doesn't make it untrue.

And none of my characters are twinky, and for you to claim that is just idiotic (I feel that I don't even have to explain this).

Dragonsbane 07-11-2004 01:29 PM

OOC: cloak? he had clothes underneath that....that's the reason he would survive. It's not whining when your character has no weaknesses debilitating enough to balance out his strengths. Your Mage Slayer was more twinky than anything Red Mage ever invented.......and nowhere near as original, and for you to claim otherwise is just idiotic (I feel I don't have to explain this, either).

IHateMakingNames 07-11-2004 01:35 PM

OOC: Clothes do not stop light. If Dirk's cloak came off, everything would burn because the light would pass through his clothes. The cloak only works because it's lined with leather, which does prevent light from passing through.

Also, stop bitching about the Mage Slayer. He can redirct fireballs and is a little extra resistant to spells, big fucking deal. Any mage is more twinky and god moddy then he is. Also, that last sentences you added in was pointless, and a sad attempt to use my own words against me.

Edit - Lastly, just stop being a prick about killing Dirk, and just drop it and go back to RPing. Killing off characters is not what you want to do if you want to revive this RP, you want all the people you can get (I woud suggest getting more people as well).

Dragonsbane 07-11-2004 02:41 PM

OOC: I'll clarify, I meant leather clothes....

redirecting fireballs IS a big deal! Mages have low HP, and launching their own high-damage spells against them is a twinky way to kill them without doing any work. And I found it an odd coincidence that you made a character who had so many abilities against mages.....right after you had been arguing with myself and BMG, and both of us had decided to RP mage characters. I wouldn't normally mind that much, especially if you were just a fighter-type with some spell resistance and bonuses vs. certain forms of spells, but instead you made a character who could hold his own against any warrior of his own approximate strength (since you hate the word "level" so much), and was invincible against mages. Twinky is the correct word to describe such a character. Mages are more twinky and godmoddy? Then why are they so physically weak? They actually have weaknesses that balance out their strengths, and the lack of such weaknesses is what made your Mage Slayer godmoddy.

about the last sentence....I was mocking you. No wonder you found your own words sad and pointless, they were that way when you said them, too.

you're right about one thing, though, killing Dirk is pointless........you'll always argue and complain until we agree to let him live, so I'll just save myself a headache and agree that by some miracle that has nothing to do with the abilities you gave him, he survives.

IC: Draloron remained in his room, reading and waiting for Cora to awaken...

IHateMakingNames 07-11-2004 02:48 PM

OOC: OOC: (Edit, shortened). All the mage slayer could do is redirect small offensive spells, like a fireball or an ice bolt. A stream of fire would burn him. And he was a little extra resistant to magic, like lengths of curses would be shortened, or he might not get as badly burnt as expected.

And yes, mages are god moddy and twinky. You always talk about how mages are the best. Also, Stone Skin.

A miracle would be that the inn that was set on fire was both the inn Dirk was in, and that the cellar was not stone built. And if Dirk was in a fire, he could easily get out before it collapsed.

Foamy 07-11-2004 08:21 PM

OOC: What am I, chopped veal? I'm a vamp too if you haven't forgotten DB! If you want him gone I have to leave to because of your "Vamp Hunter" thing! Just stop bickering and let IHMN post!

IC: The sunlight was bathing them in it's holy rays. That's when she noticed something was amiss. "Wait this isn't real. I can't be in the sun otherwise I would be dead right now."
"Oh, but it is real my love." He said.
"No it's not!"
She woke up, sat up, and yelled again "No it's not!!" Suddenly she noticed she was awake and looked around to find Draloron reading a book. "What are you doing?"

Dragonsbane 07-12-2004 08:09 AM

OOC: the vamp hunter thing was a joke....and IHMN's recent posts have all been bickering, so have mine for that matter....

IC: Draloron looked up, eyebrows raised, "I'm reading, obviously....I suppose a bit of thanks for saving your life is too much to ask?"

Foamy 07-15-2004 06:13 PM

OOC: :P

IC: "Thanks, but you should have looked for the others!" And with that she got up and left the room, changed into her wolf form and searched for the others with her keen nose. (I smell a vampire!) She ran and followed the trail until she came upon Dirk. (Dirk! Him a vampire, I guess that would explain a few things.)

IHateMakingNames 07-15-2004 06:17 PM

OOC: bm_girl, this is dead, give it up. DB and h4x just killed over half of the PCs, and probably made you all wanted criminals. And now this is basically random crap that makes no sense. I dropped out of this until it has actual players, makes sense, have a story. Or it could just die already.

Foamy 07-15-2004 06:23 PM

ooc: i know it just giving me something to do since i lost my PS memory card at a friends house. and if you haven't noticed i just posted after like a week of no show. and i can't find any other rp's that interest me.

Dragonsbane 07-15-2004 07:46 PM

OOC: IHMN......this is why you're depressing. Or, rather, an example of it....BMG, he won't respond, just edit your post or something.

IHateMakingNames 07-15-2004 07:47 PM

OOC: Why won't I? BM, for one, bringing back dead threads is against the entire forum rules. Secondly, this thread is past it's post limit. Thirdly, why continue some dead RP if you're bored, when you can just make one? You made it, so it would have to be full of things you like.

Foamy 07-16-2004 09:02 PM

ooc: nevermind i found another place so...

IC: suddenly Cora drops dead. x_x

Dragonsbane 07-16-2004 09:42 PM

OOC: well....I'm out too, involved in an RP here and a few others elsewhere....no time for this one anymore....valete, omnes!
