One question
 

Ok people, this is something I've been wondering since I got here, and that was in November, so I've been curious a long time.

Now, look at where it says how many posts I have. Right next to it, there is a little green "light." What the hell is that thing!? Augh! And some peoples' aren't "lit up," meaning they're just black! Does anybody out there know?

[Edit] Ok, I just hovered over it, and it said, "Minor Dizastor is on a distinguished road." Yea, I'm even more confused now. [/Edit]

Hrm... I've been wondering, too. I've seen similair things on other forums, but they were all associated with your post count. Every 25 posts you got a little jewel-type thing.

The lit up light-thing probably indicates whether or not that user is signed in at the moment. However, I have no idea. In fact, I probably shouldn't even have posted. Ah well. There's my theory.

They are reputation points. Other users either give you good or bad reputation points but no one really uses them. So they don't really mean anything. The ones that are black are ppl who disabled the reputation point option.

Why, thank you. Yea, I knew that it wasn't whether or not you were on, or not, uh, *ahem* because that is the little check-mark symbol next to your name. If it's white, that person's on. If it's blue, they're off.

[Edit] And I just checked my reputation, and it says I have 15 points. I don't remember being, uh, reputed, where did they come from? [/Edit]

You have so many to start with. Not quite sure how many. Then ppl can add them by just checking that little check mark x button next to the number your post is in a thread. So ppl could add reputation points and you not know it.

Ah. It says here in my profile my last reputation addition was for some post I made about sex. Oh well then. Thanks.

I received a negative reputation point with the description "booooooring!" attached to it. Thats just mean if you ask me. :)

First of all, you start with 10 rep points. If you get lower than that, you bacome "an unknown quantity" Higher, and nothing happens. The lowest I've seen is Dr dr's: the box is a pale grey, with the phrase "DR dr can only hope to improve at this point." I am pretty sure he hit the negative values, and that is only because he asked people to bring down his rep as an experiment.

On that topic, how about another experiment: how High can the rep go? add to my rep to find out :D

only if you add to mine, I don't want to be an unknown quantity anymore, it gives me great psychological pain, to think my fate rests in the hands of people who say things like "booooring" and "pwnd" I feel feint, somebody please raise my reputaion!

Your "Unknown quantity" thing will return to "distinguished road" once you reach 10 pts again.
