Except we aren't fighting gods. We might be fighting a guy who's the chosen herald of six different gods and is the chosen herald of all of them, but not the gods themselves.

Dante 06-23-2004 09:18 PM

Ah well, I suppose an experienced Terrestrial Exalted would be good enough, or a no0b Solar. They can't kill armies... yet.

Darth SS 06-23-2004 09:26 PM

I might be inclined to agree...
IF I KNEW WHAT THEY WERE!

Dante 06-23-2004 09:32 PM

All right.

The Exalted are essentially humans empowered by certain gods to kill the ones who came before the gods, namely the Primordials. The Exalted come in two main flavors, Terrestrial and Celestial.

Terrestrial Exalted are elementally aligned, Air, Earth, Fire, Water and Wood. Celestial Exalted are weirder - there are the Sidereal Exalted, Lunar Exalted and Solar Exalted.

Terrestrials are weaker than Celestials, but Terrestrials are much more numerous and they can breed to create more Terrestrials. Celestial Exalts are created when the Exaltation (the god-spark that empowers them) reaches a suitable body. Of course, age and experience counts for a lot - an old Terrestrial could beat a newly Exalted Solar, for instance.

Among the Celestials, the Solars are considered the most powerful, followed by the Lunars and the Sidereals. There is also a class of Exalted called the Abyssal, which have only recently emerged. These guys are as powerful as any Solar or Lunar Exalt, and they are death-aligned.

Name:Mirg
Age: Oldish
Gender: Male
Role: General
Race: Human
Mount&Name: Uses fallen bones to create a mount (like reassembling them), so he could be flying a dragon, riding in on a giant rat, or just a skeletal horse.
Equipment: Has a staff made up of the bones of various magical creatures, dragons, unicorns, the like.
Magical Equipment: A small orb that allows him to break and/or steal a mans soul, and gives him control over anything undead-ish (zombies, vampires, yadda).
Skills: Necromancy, including: Raising the dead (zombies), bone constructs (his mounts and skeletal soldiers), corpse exploding, energy trasfer (can 'drain' the 'juices' out a zombie or skeleton or what have you to increase his strength). Also some poison spells.
Bonuses: With his orb he can make people tell the truth (through painful measures)
Appearance OOA: Slightly built (from having to wear armor and carry a sword), medium-ish height, wears a black robe.
Appearance IA: Wears the bones of his (fallen) strongest enemies/soldiers. He has a bunch, so he's pretty well covered. There's some caked over blood so it has a drained out reddish-white thing goin. Wears a werewolf head for a helmet.
Bio: Mirg has always been a sick SOB. He saw his brother die at a young age, and decided to learn how to bring him back, but got sidetracked into necromancy which began to seriously fuck him over mentally. He did get around to raising his brother but only used him to kill their parents. He is now the world's best necromancer.
Extra:
Quote: "Consider it your early retirement if you only die once."

Guardian
Name: Jude
Equipment: Two sickles attached to his arms (leaves hands free)
Magical Equipment: None
Appearance: He is small and thin. His chin is permanantly bloodstained, and his eyes are all red. His hands are claw-like, and his hair is long and black.
Reputation: Jude is a vampire. His power is based on his kills, and since he's been a war-whore for a few centuries, he's gotten pretty badass. He's been known to leap fields, rip off an armored mans limbs and drain him in seconds, then finish off the rest of the squadron. He once allowed a ballista a free shot, got hit in the chest, then used the ballista bolt to beat down and roast the shooters. No one has figured out how to kill him, and it is believed that only Mirg might know, since Jude and Mirg appear to be friends.

Dante- I'm gonna' wait for FZ to translate that.

BM- The mount thing bugs me.

BMHadoken 06-23-2004 09:53 PM

You'll get used to it.

Oh, and remember, as dementedmongoose so eloquently pointed out, Jude rides a bat, so he's about the size of a mouse...or he rides a giant bat, your choice.

Darth SS 06-23-2004 09:58 PM

That must've been a very very tiny werewolf then.

EDIT- Wait...sorry...got characters mixed up.

Heh, since when did I become the official translater for Dante? I think he makes perfect sense honestly... Ah well, such is life.

To put it in laymans terms:

They are normal Humans given Godlike Powers from the Gods. Roughly. Oh, and they were made to kill the Old Gods/Old Gods Followers/Ancient Superpowerful Race known as the Primordials (Pick one of the three, I'm not sure which it is)...

Terrestrial are easy enough to understand. If you can't understand humans with powers of one element of nature, then I doubt your intelligence RPing here... As for the Celestial... Think of the groups as Factions devoted to different groups of Gods, if I understand that concept correctly...

Terrestrials can breed like normal, and thus there are a great many of them. However to compensate, they are weaker then Celestial, who CANNOT breed. The Celestial are instead "Born" when a God bestows Godlike powers on a suitable individual (Like a God choosing an Avatar that follows them). However, the "Weakness" of each group is relative, since a new, weak Celestial will still lose to an older, experienced Terrestrial.

The Celestial Factions described. Celestial Solar Exalted (The strongest, even among the Celestials) are followers of the power of the sun, while Lunar Exalted are followers of the moon (And in both cases, all related Gods with those groups). Sidereal I don't know as much about since their name doesn't as obviously state their backing, and I haven't read up on them. Abyssal are right up my ally however, even though I haven't read enough about them either. These are the Necromancers, Death Knights, and overall the followers of death, decay, destruction, and more evil Gods.

Relation to RP: 0%

Relation to you asking who they were: 100%

Clarified enough?
