Please, some help here---
Ok, here is the deal...
I don't have much money, but me and a group of friends want to play some DnD:... I cant use bittorrent where i go online, but i want to download core rule books and all that stuff, i cant seem to get it any other way not bittorrent... Can anyone upload it somewhere or something?? its really hard to buy that stuff where i live too... im not from us.... |
Kazaa had the player's handbook, GM's guide, and Monster Manual in .pdf format. Granted, this was about 6 months ago, when my friend was looking for it.
I myself have the Player's Handbook, Monster Manual, and character sheet on my computer. ~100 megs total, so it's too big to send it through e-mail. If you, or someone you know, has 100 megs of webspace, I might be able to upload it to there. |
I believe that WotC's site has it all free for downloading. I'll dig up a link...
http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/er/20040125a has players. DM, and Monster manual guides, all for free. Well, I don't know how much your intarweb aervice costs, but its still a deal. |
Yay thanx...
about those stuff... well, i cant use kazaa either, and on WotC they dont have the core rules, just the errata, but thnx anyways... ok.. now i think i can get the 100 megs of space whe i have it, ill tell you... thx pal of course, i still would aprreciate if someone has the space or the uploaded files already... :P |
Look for the 3.5 E SRD, they have the PHB and DMG for 3.5E there.
|
I dont understand, whats a 3.5 E SRD and DMG?
|
But why play a confusing RPG when you could easily try out GURPS. It's marginally easier. And your character is better formed and more realistic.
|
Gurps, what do you eat that with?
|
Buddy, you live in a sad little world if you only know what D&D is, and know nothing of better RPG systems. D20 is a crappy system that is sustained by popularity instead of usefullness.
GURPS is one of the easiest systems to use. It's not my favorite, with a somewhat confusing dice system, but the possibilities for customization are just about endless, so if you want to do anything other then D&D, the system is perfect. Storyteller backs the World of Darkness systems. Sure, there may be way to many goth losers that sit around playing Vampire, but there are many other WoD systems that are a ton of fun to pick up and play that all use the same dice system (If you want to sock it to those goth punks, might I suggest the Hunter RPG book, which lets you become a vampire hunter...). The Shadowrun system is next, and my personal favorite, head and shoulders above the rest. The system is hard to adapt to others well, but if you want to play a Cyberpunk world, Shadowrun is really the best and only way to go. The dice system is easy, the environment is varied, and the options are many... Finally the Tri-System and BESM are the latest games I learned about. BESM stands for "Big Eyes, Small Mouth", which as can be guessed makes it an RPG about Anime. It features only 3 main stats, but countless Attributes and Skill help to round out your character. It's easy to learn, easy to play, and easy to customize. It is quickly gaining ground and I would call it my second favorite RPG system. And that is FZ's whirlwind tour of the wide world of RPGs... |
Thx for info man, im knida of a newb in that, the only rpg ive ever played was Returners FFRPG back on free WebRPG days.. :D
Not many people play rpgs where i live, so i know little to nothing about it... Thax every1 |
