Instead of going to Noham, Vars motioned for the Band of Brothers to drop all their loot and turn their horses southward. They were headed to the barren desert of Kannthalass, their homeland, where the cities were dominated by criminal warlords. Vars set Aeirene on the ground and spoke as they passed Kardin. "We're going to Kannthalass, and we're never coming back. Farewell." He kicked his horse and the Band of Brothers began sprinting southwards, leaving the gold to Kardin.

OOC: Are you leaving the RP?
OOC: Nope, they come back.
"Well," began Kardin, "It looks like our cause is lost. The nearest city is Noham. I can never return there. You may resign and go to Noham, I won't blame you."
Ooc: who is he speaking to? Me or Aerien?
OOC: All of Marlag.

Though the city still burned, there was still a single chance to save it. Risky as it may be, it was the only option that could guarantee the fires would be put out.
The Dam that held back the mighty Nar'tul River. If additional water were alowd to flood through the town, the fires would be put out, and the waterlevel would return to normal once the Dam were patched again. In theory. Magnus set himself, and mentally searched for the metalic girders inside. |
"If your going to break the dam then you have to get me to a high vantage point" said Areine, who had regained some of his strenghth "I will save as many people from drowning as I can."
"As do I. I can swim. Areine, why don't you do that think where you create a platform of ice to elevate yourself?"
"Of course! Thank you my friend, I don't why I didn't think of it earlier." And with that he formed the disc from the ever present orb atop his staff and flew to the highest roof top he could find. "When you break the dam I will divert the water away from civilians, Kardin, you get as many people out of the way as possible, I won't be able to keep it up for long."
