Metahuman RP Sign-Up
 

In the year 2004, the largest nuclear power plant in the United States exploded. The radiation spread, transforming many across the country and giving them super-human powers. This incident was called the Big Bang.

Your characters are either metahumans (hero or villain), or you can be a normal human. If you're a metahuman, your powers can be basically anything, but you can only have one power. Shapeshifters are allowed, but restricted to one form other than human. This RP takes place in New York City, where the explosion occured.

Real Name: David Ranturas
Nickname: Torch
Age: 21
Gender: Male
Race: Metahuman
Powers: Torch, as his name suggests, can create fire and blast it, harming people (duh) and burning flammable objects. He can also "fly" by blasting at the ground and propelling himself upward.
Appearance: 6'7", 199 pounds, black skin, bald, and red eyes. Torch wears a black overcoat, black jeans and boots, and a red T-shirt with a flame emblazoned on it. He wears black shades to conceal his eyes. He was on a high school wrestling team, giving him a formidable physique. When he uses his powers, flames burst from his body, but strangely, his clothes don't burn.
Bio: Born in a poor family, David now lives on his own, doing odd jobs to pay for his education. For a wrestler, he's smart, and hopes to be a mathmatician.
When the Big Bang occured, David was working inside the power plant, making him one of the first to become afflicted. He found himself in the hospital with hundreds of other afflicted people, being tested for and injuries. Ironically, considering he was near the explosion, David had no burns or wounds at all, save the radiation exposure.


Real Name: Jon Farnen
Nickname: The Scientist
Age: 46
Gender: Male
Race: Normal Human
Weapons: Small handgun that fires tanquilizers.
Appearance: 5'8", 142 pounds, white skin, blonde hair, green eyes, wears glasses. He is thin and wiry, but a fast runner.
Bio: While not a metahuman himself, Farnen is very smart and is the leader of the research on metahumans. He and his fellow scientists are desperately searching for what caused the Big Bang, and how to cure the metahuman "afflictions." He's known for having a smart mouth, and has a great sense of humor.

I call a guy who has a 'mosquito-needle' in his arm and can use it to suck the powers(temporarily) from other mutants...cuz I kno you all were gunna use that one...

That's fine, but as you commented, you can only use their powers for a short period of time. Plus, I don't think you should really drain their powers, just copy them.

Aww...then whats the point of draining em...ok, how bout I replace the needle with like an extendo tentacle or something that latches onto their face and lets me copy it?

I'm game, I think I'll go for some sort of uber fast guy, who has the ability to move at such high speeds that to him, everything around him seems to just slow down.
