IHMN: Melee is anything that's not a weapon but is used as such. Basically it's for things that don't really fall into the other categories but are going to end up being used anyway. Like, say a chair or a broken bottle. You MIGHT be able to argue chair as being blunt or the bottle as being dagger, but it's still significantly different attacking with either of those. As a brawler, you should probably have taken some points in that, or put some points into it with exp you get.
Yes. Blunt is things like hammers, clubs, lead pipes, etc. Plasma blade is a scientifically sound lightsaber, basically. Magnetically charged plasma is shot out from it, but a magnetic pull exists within the hilt which pulls it back down into the hilt, creating a blade out of a plasma loop. Everyone else, I still need messages from you all to get your names (except lazy and gato). If you didn't get my AIM name, say so here before that, and I'll pm it to you. Get me tonight at 10 pm EST on AIM and we'll start this. In the meantime I'll make a human, ox, monkey, and frog character. ...I was just too lazy to do the stat modifiers for monkeys and frogs before, but I'll get them now. There's no such thing as too many races, after all. |
While it would be fun to smash chairs against peoples heads, if there are no chairs nearby, my guy is screwed.

IHMN: Well, melee isn't just chairs. Garbage can lids, tire irons (although you could probably use one of those with blunt as well), steering wheels... basically anything you can hold in your hand and use to smack someone with, that isn't NORMALLY considered a weapon.

I realized that melee was more then just chairs, but I was pointing out that there is a chance that a weapon may not be available, my guy's chance of hitting is bad. But there will most likely always be something that can be used as a weapon around, so I'm switching from Unarmed to Melee.
But Melee seems like a skill that if you have points in that, you would have some points in something else. Edit - Also, switch his weapon to none. |
A couple of things that I don't think I mentioned. Plasma blades are like guns in their damage. It's based on the weapon, not the power of the user. Why? Because they're immaterial. It's the heat of the blade that hurts, so swinging it harder wouldn't do anything. Oh, and they're all heat based.
Also: Done IHMN. Also 2: I'll post my characters up here in a second, just so you all can see them. I'm done with two. Also 3: I've decided humans don't need anything to make people chose them. The math for making humans/brood is a TON easier. That's all they need. |
How are other races so hard to make? Just do it like a human, then either multiply or divide when your done. It might take a couple of trail and errors if the outcome is much more then you expected, but overall it's not that much harder.

You forgot to add Drain (20 EXP, 5 AP) to BM's character.
Also, what are the modifers for Frogs and Monkies? |
I added them to the main file, which I just uploaded... but here they are here, as well.
Monkey People pay half as much for agility and 1.5 times as much for WIL. Frog People Pay 1.5 times as much for agility and half as much for defense and they can jump real far. Repost: It's about 10 minutes till 10 EST. About time that you people should start sending me messages on AIM so that we can get this thing started. Only person I see signed on right now is Lazy. |
