Spider Man - anticipation and accursed reviewers
 

Is it just me, or does the entire world seem hell-bent on giving away the entire plot to this movie? It's bad enough that the trailers give away so much, but on top of that, every review I've seen is basically "Movie's cool -- now I'm going to tell you exactly what happens in every scene worth seeing."

I'm seeing it midnight Tuesday just because if I'm not the first person in America to see it, I know I'm going to be at work that day and someone's going to blurt out "Oh my god, can you believe they killed Mary Jane?!" or some such damn thing.

That aside, it looks like the movie's going to be pretty awesome. Doctor Octopus looks awesome, and it looks like Harry's actually going to be really interesting this time around -- looks like somebody coughed up to get James Franco some acting lessons, or something. Apparently Norman Osborne shows up somewhere, which is one of those things I really would rather not have known until I actually saw the movie, but it should still be pretty cool. So, anyone else looking forward to it?

I still think that they could've chosen a better villain than Doc Oc. The least they could have done was given him someone as a henchman, maybe Scorpion.

I read the book it is good. I wish they would have VENOM and CARNAGE already. Those are the best (in my opinion) villians in Spiderman. A henchman would have been dumb. The villians hardly ever work together unless the Kingpin is giving them billions upon billions.

Yeah, Carnage owns. I think that Mysterio would've been cool too.

Doc Oc'll be cool. The arms were made for CGIed widescreen madness, and he's one of the few spider-villains that isn't a total dumbass.

As far as henchmen, technically he is a henchman, since he's working for Harry Osborne.

I'm betting Venom will be in III. Mary Jane is dating an astronaut in this one, which I think is a giveaway. I figure there'll be some vague foreshadowing in this one, like some ominous black rock the guy happens to bring back from space, or some such thing.

Read the book and fifthfiend sorry to burst your bubble but guy is the astronaut that goes and finds the symbiote, but he doesn't go there in the movie. I believe he said something about going in 6 months or something similar.

Because, you know, black text against dark grey is completely unreadable.

I agree. Computer graphics these days would make them soooo awsome. But, going from goblin to the symbiotes (<---------Did i spell that word right?) sounds like a rather big jump. They would make a good third movie though.

They need to have Venom in Spiderman 3. I can do without Carnage, because he is just a physco, crappy version of Venom.

Also, some what related to this topic, the old Spiderman cartoon has recently been put onto the air again (To my knowledge, since I've never seen it on any channel for a long time).
