BM- Badamn. Reasoning.

And doesn't Jude ever worry about calling someone that big various unflattering terms?

IHMN- You're always on time right? Togas are a bitch to wear, he's based on a roman gladiator (Hence the armour style and toga), and the giant lizard thing....I don't know where that came from. Personally, I think it's a sign for caffeine cut-back.

He doesn't need to worry about a mongoloid, he'd freeze you, trap you in a bubble, water pillar you, drain all the water in your body out...there's probably a good reason why the Mages are the ruling people...

IHateMakingNames 06-29-2004 05:07 PM

Actually, I am almost always on time (Especially if it's something important, like a world saving mission).

Also, I doubt any of the mages would fear him. Carriers, even the strongest onces, are still easily topped. All mages can just trap them in some way (Ring of fire, box of ice, tornado, etc), and a Beast Mage can summon stronger things.

Darth SS 06-29-2004 05:16 PM

I'm not saying fear them. Respect is a healthy word.

By example...when yuo see a cop, do you fear them? Or do you respect them?

Stover 06-29-2004 05:18 PM

I tend to shoot them.

Edit: For the record, this was a joke.

BMHadoken 06-29-2004 05:18 PM

Why should I/we respect what is below us? Cops are repsected because they risk their lives and help the common man...in Marakta, there are Mages, there are Creators, and then everybody else who can't use magic.
EDIT-And where did you get fear anyway, most of the mages think you're a bumbling fool in a dress/toga...

Darth SS 06-29-2004 05:36 PM

Implications speak just as strong as words.

You implied that you believed I meant you should fear him.

Also, I fail to see how you're "above." Just logistically, if you've spent all this time working to get spells are everything, then you're missing different experiences. No one can ever be truly "above" someone because everyone has gone through something different, and handles different situations differently.

This is probably a bad example..but... You respect a bull. Why? You eat it's kind almost every day, you're smarter than it, and your own devising keeps it enclosed. Therefore, it's "below" you. Yet that bull can just as easily flip out, and run you down, then kill you. Sure you could get a gun and shoot that bull, but how often are you completely ready to handle that? You don't fear it, but you sure as hell give it its space. And you certainly don't go and poke it for no reason.

Man, I wondered why my ToK teacher retired...there's the reason right there.

BMHadoken 06-29-2004 05:38 PM

Hmm...well, Jude considers you below him because at any point he could kill you (plus the stupidity factor), and you haven't earned respect in his eyes. If you manage to save Jude's life, then he'll consider you somewhat equal, but until then you're a mongoloid in a dress thingy.

BM pissing off Ken is not a wise course of action, so you may want to lay off. If you want to know why a time mage is dangerous. go pop Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade into a dvd player, then watch carefully the part when the guy uses the wrong grail.

BMHadoken 06-29-2004 07:02 PM

But since you're not gunna kill me, I can annoy you till no end...but if you don't have a good answer for how you got past the magic barriers without the artifact or destroying/bypassing them then just say so here and I'll lay off in the RP.
