FF RP Story

I wonder how many of us here are veterans of the original FF RP? Well, I felt like writing a novelization of the thing's events and possibly adding new people and places as needed.

So what do I need you for? Well, I have the storyline pretty much worked out in my mind, But I'd like your input on what could or should have happened in the RP proper before it self-terminated. That's right SS, if you wanted Ark to have more of a role, you can say so, and if others want in, you can make your suggestions.

That will be all. Thanks in advance for your input.

Deamon should have killed all of the heroes and taken over the world.

I would've wanted Ark to have had a larger role, and for his thievery to really come out.

After his little angel debacle, there were another two stages I wanted him to go through.

The fourth one (It went from Ark, to changed Ark, to Angel ark, and to this, which I've dubbed psycho Ark) is when he finds an Alchemist and this Alchemist agrees to bring Ark back to full mortal. Unfortunately doing this, all of Ark's hate, bitterness, grief, and so on and so forth comes back up, and doesn't stop. He basically turns into a permanantly tormented husk, and when he gets angry he basically because a psycho nigh-unstoppable flip-out-and-kill machine.

The last stage was when Ark realizes the past is the past. He can't change it, and with all the good he had done he'd probably redeemed himself. All that negativity just becomes a part of him, and he esentially emerges as a brand new person. He was and still is Ghast, but at the same time he's the opposite of Ghast. And he goes full fledged ninja. On anyone who threatens any of his friends.

Also...I can't remember what LWM's char was named, but she was going to be important in Ark's little plot doo-dads after the angel one. So you might want to bring her into the story again.

Mostly important as such.

Fourth- Ark is trying to be what he thinks (insert her char's name) deserves. And that ain't a dead person that literally has angels and Archangels hunting him for breaking out of heaven. He didn't want to be chased by anything incorpereal, so he could actually be around her without constantly having to look over his shoulder.

Fifth- Ark kinda' decides he was living a lie. He was trying to reawaken the past (note-with her) And the past is the past. He can't be trying to bring it back, because it's already gone. Basically takes on a "big brother" role. And goes ninja. Of course.

Let's see...um...in that eventual final fight with Daemon, Ark could die. And maybe have something about him back in heaven's gates, going "Okay. I'm ready." or something...

Really flesh out his knife throwing and lock-picking...Ooh! And make sure to toss in the odd moment where he sees a cop, and is worried they'll recgonize him.

Incidentally, this suggestion thread is for EVERYONE. I will consider everything submitted, then include them or line my chinchilla's cage with them as it were.

But for the most part, if it works, then it goes in.

Dante shouldn't change. And should get (at one point at least) to bust out double rending chains.

Krylo's guy should remain the manipulative "I art holier than thou" a-hole who we all came to love.

Daemon should really be meaner. And nicer to Ark. *puppy dog eyes*

Lesse...Dezil should really flesh out his gun, and have at least one sniper moment.

A Rohan style charge thing is neccesary (maybe not). There has to be at least one dragon in it for it to be like FF.

And...that's all I can think.

On a side note, I love chinchillas.

I always wondered how many other chinchillia owners there were, now I know of one other. Anyways although I was not here a Rohan style charge always adds style in my opinion, or at least most of the time.

In the end, after the battle with Deamon and Dante (who turns on Deamon was the plan, I guess?) and the heros have mopped up the other demons however, Ciaran should bring them back to the palace and then lead them into a trap, where he, Ren, and some of his guards, in magitek of course (after the heros are disarmed of theirs), become the last boss fight... after getting the heros to walk past some murder holes or something.

IHateMakingNames 07-01-2004 09:39 PM

The plan was Dante fights Deamon, it goes on as a stale mate for a while, then Deamon lets himself die. He comes back in perfect condition, then proceeds to kick the tired and weak Dante's ass. Plot device happens so Dante doesn't die, but Enerion does.

After that, nothing was planned. But Cairan would not be a final boss (He's a weak little human, and his henchmen suck). And he only has one form, how can you be a final boss with only one form? And I doubt he can magically make a psychadelic twirling colored background. You have to have one of those to be a final boss.

Since I doubted that Ecurt was going to let Deamon win, my plan on losing was that Cairan would have to team up with the good guys, get a small army of white mages, and have the rest of his army hold off the endless horde of demons while the white mages seal the gate. After they finnaly pulled that off (And lost many, many people), the good guys would have to seal Deamon specificly, because he could just make a dimensional rift and leave if you just killed him.

But Deamon just killing all of the heroes made so much more sense. Because no one was even near Dante level, and Deamon was the main bad guy, so he had to be stronger then Dante, which just makes the rest of the PC's dust.

Darth SS 07-01-2004 09:41 PM

He has a point about the psychadelic background.

And also has a good point about Ciaran.

Sorry Krylo, but he just wasn't final boss material.

Krylo 07-01-2004 09:48 PM

Neither was the death thing at the end of FFIX. Let's face it, Trance Kuja could have kicked it's ass. However, it was still the 'final boss.'

The reason Ciaran would be the final boss isn't because he's powerful or has multiple forms, but simply because he manipulated events in such a way as to survive longer than any of the other villains, who lacked tact and grace, preferring out right power.

Besides... which is easier? Holding back one godlike force with an army at your disposal, long enough to seal him away... with the help of ANOTHER god-like force (I'd assume Dante could still channel without enerion or whatever, because he did it without that guy's help before), or, after both god-like forces are dead, fighting 10 magitek, using nothing but swords... after having walked through murder holes (meaning you're all dead or dying already)?

Ciaran was potentially more dangerous than Dante. In fact, he almost killed Dante. He would have too if he wouldn't have been as arrogant as he was and attacked with Ren as well, instead of taking him on alone.

Once he found Deamon's weak point (that he could be sealed away), it would have been small matter for him to form a plan to destroy him.

In fact, the way things were going, Deamon probably would have been sealed shortly after defeating Dante. Ciaran was the type to attack from the rear. You think he'd politely wait for Dante to get defeated before ordering the sealing start against Deamon?
