Metahuman RP Discussion thread.
I'm making this so the Sign-up doesn't get closed, and the RP does not get filled up with Ooc's.
Enjoy! |
PS2 games, on a laptop?
|
Yes they're hard to play with a keyboard slash mouse so he keep a controller for them. And if you don't like that they can just be the PS1 games and since I know people who have PS1 emulators that is perfectly possible.

Word. I actually think the power is very creative and very original. Kudos to you, h4x. From me, anyway... I really don't see any kind of problem with his powers.
SAAM, the next to appear on the show is Banshee, who can "wail better than anyone." |
I'm going to get this out now so when I start using it later I won't have to explain seven times. At some point, most likely soon, I'll start creating objects that feel real with light. This is quite possible under the Standard Model the photon is defined as the force particle for electromagnetism. (i.e. It transfers EM enegry from on place to the next.) Without photons solid objects could no support other solid objects for two reasons. The first being a good deal of what holds most solid objects together is electrostatic forces. The second reason is that it is electrostatic interactions, and there is some talk about wavelengths of matter/energy, keep you from simply passing through the floor. Eventually I'm going to have my character learn to use photons to emulate this effect effectively creating solid objects.
Just so no one gets freaked out when I start shielding myself, or flying, on a disc of light. It also explains a little of how I've been using light to move around up to this point. Also technically I have can interfere in some way with electricty and magnetism, electromagnetism if you will, but I'm kinda fussy on the details of the interactions; other then the ones stated above that is. (If you can't tell I'm a major science geek being a physics major and all.) |
Sithdarth, to what extent can your character use light energy? So much to the point where he can effectively alter his own...er...particles and allow as-fast-as-light movement? Enough to create raw, plasma light energy (think...sun!) and...well, more or less incinerate stuff?
Figured I'd ask so we know in advance?...(At least this way no one accuses you of "god-moding." I'm sure I will be if my character punches a hole in someone, or crushes a man's skull with a single hand. But, yeah...that'd make sense if the guy can chuck a tank like a paper ball.) |
Well, talking of power evolution, if no one has any problems with it I plan on my guy eventually learning how to overcome his limitation on sight and expanding the area of effect to as far as he could see all around him. And then increasing that distance.

Wow... Is everyone modifying their powers?
|
I'm only doing so if no one has a problem with it, and only becuase it came up.
|
I must say, I have a tiny problem with the whole "Create anything out of light" thing.
Yes it may be physically possible, but it also seems a little too powerful, like: *BINK!* suddenly we have a bazooka to blow everyone away! *BINK!* We have a working Nuklear Weapon for the same use! *BINK!* We got IHMN a hooker! *BINK!* We got Doc Ock on our side, but he's getting distracted by the Japanese Schoolgirl! I know that chances are that these things would never happen... except possibly the hooker one, but I think evolving to become a master of Illusions would be even cooler. but this is only one Slightly Above Average Man's opinion. Zorshnal, yours seems doable, and not to godmoddy, basically just an upgrade to his powers. I got nuttin' against that. |
