Collisions of Destiny: Ch 1; Siege.

Dust swept across the grassy plains. A small insect landed, and considered feeding. Then a metal foot slammed on it, and a ghastly metalic skeleton like construction shambled past...

The small village of Fadrin was...small. It consisted only of two levels, and a population of about two thousand. Technology wasn't at an all time high, though the duke in charge did have bionic legs, and a third and fourth arm, which were bionic. That, and his right eye was robotic as well.

There wasn't a huge contingent of soldiers, mostly because any attacks from the robot west were likely to hit the large capital city of Arguin. The sentries lazilly looked out.

Had they used high powered binoculars, they would've seen the man on the motorbike driving towards them, only to be jumped by a robot with metal wings. Behind him, a horde shambled forward.

A large number of them were screaming, with large ammounts of robot parts visible and tiny bits of flesh. Blood streamed from those bits of flesh, showing it was a hasty installment, or "initiation" from the necrontyr. Which signified they'd destroyed Arguin, and had forced it's inhabitants to joining them.

The town continued about it's normal business, not suspecting anything...

OOC: Just post what you're doing. Make it your normal routine. When at least half have posted, I start the attack.

David was busy surfing the mercnet sites from his appartment, looking for potential contracts.

Hmm...nothing but light patrol shit. Must be a slow day. he thought as he loaded the bolts into his automatic crossbow's clip. He was unaware of the impending doom that was approaching Fadrin.

A Black raven sat perched on a post watching the wealthy shopping. It's dark eyes narrowed.

"So vain, so self righteous." The raven said in english.

A wealthy woman looked at the raven. She was startled that it spoke.

"To bad your husband is cheating on you." the raven said. "With your best friend no less."

The raven took flight. leaving the confused woman. The doubt was planted. She ran home and accused her husband of infidelity.

The raven however flew to the top of a building and changed into a man in dark clothes. The change was seamless like the raven in flight one moment, the man walking along the roof next.

Jude haphazardly took aim, mostly for show, then flung the dart perfectly again, hitting his target. "Ok, thats my win again. Anyone else? Cmon, I can't really be that good can I?" Jude mocked, swiping up his winnings. "But, since you're all such good sports, next rounds on me."

In a bar in the small town, Dezil saw sitting in a well-lit corner booth, pondering the plans he had set out before him. The good sized table was covered in a layer of papers, covered in pencil and ink scetches he had drawn. Each one was was a possilbe modification or defect that needed to be looked into of the new ancient War Robot he had "Inherited" from his friend at the junkyard when his friend, out of annoyance, made a deal that turned out in Dezil's favor. The 12 foot tall robot was in terrible condition, and he had spent the last few months traveling with the robot hidden from town to town, picking up vital componenets and aesthetic additions he wanted to make to the war machine. It wasn't back to 100% efficency yet, but it was getting closer with every day he worked on it, and it already had extensive repairs done (With some "Modifications" added to make the battered machine look a bit better...).

Now he was going over what else to add. He would either need to find or build anything else he added, since the core robot was now mostly fixed, but the weapons and additional equipment had been corroded and rusted into oblivion, so other then normal actions a humanoid robot could make, it had nothing else so far.

He wiped his sweating brow with an arm, and absentmindedly wiped it off on his oil, grease, and food stained jumpsuit that he wore when working on the machine. He motioned the waitress to bring him another drink and told her to bring him a sandwich as well when she came close, and then he pulled the pencil out from behind one ear, and erased something on one of the papers, re-writing the new modification he had thought up, then doing the calculations on another paper to see if it would work...

Within this same bar, Kal looked at the bartender. "I would loooove another skotch."

The man looked curiously at him, and said, "I could swear you should be drunk by now."

"I'm pretty sure I'm not actually getting any of it...(damn being an avatar.)"

The bartender shrugged, and poored him another skotch. Kal sang under his breath, "I love skotch. Skotchy skotch skotch."

The tall dark avatar took his whisky and stepped away from the drunk.

Kari's hand hardly touched the railing as she climbed to the deck of her Airship, The Epoch. They were just coming over the village of Fedrin and Kari always loves watching the arrival from the top deck. The wind caught her red hair as she leaned way over the side of the railing, looking down onto the town. They were flying low, so every once in awhile, she could see somebody on the street look up to see her ship fly overhead. Stepping back from the railing, she made her way back down the stairs to the control room. She was planning on finding somewhere to park her airship and picking up some supplies in this town.

(OOC: there, me and my airship are here. If you want me to be landed by the time you move on the storyline, just tell me, and I will.)

Sashimi sat outside the bar. He wrapped his trenchcoat around him to keep out the dust. He was leaning against the building and chewing on a sprig of Bittergreen. It was a rather common plant when you were in the forest areas. But very few people ever chew on it. It was extremely bitter, and left a foul taste in your mouth. There was one good use for it, though. Hangovers. And Sashimi had a bad one.

His shaggy blonde hair covered his blue eye, but his grey one was uncovered. It was looking around, and when you looked closely, you could see that the pupil kept changing it's size. What you didn't know was that everytime the pupil changed, Sashimi had zoomed in on something. He had seen the airship land, and some kind of bird had spooked a lady.

Then he saw something interesting. There was a large cloud of sand billowing up out in the distance. He looked out, and his eye clicked and zoomed in. There was a horde of metal creatures coming forward.

"Metal heads." Sashimi said. His hands slowly went down to the hilts of his swords.

"Of all the days for a hangover."
