War Of Forces: Chapter 4, Judgement
 

OOC: Before we begin, sorry about all of the delays and thanks for being so patient. I have not forgotten this RP.

IC: Kardin had seemed rather... different in the two weeks after the merciless Gla'en attack, not as depressed as he usualy was, but certainly not happy. He stomped his feet to get the attention of his followers. "Worry not, todays mission is not a very dangerous one,"

A sigh of relief came from varios parts of the room.

"...it is, on the other hand, a very important one. We are peacekeepers, and today we are needed. Several of the factions, such as Arnahk, Relt, Meri'ik, and Aetheron, have asked us to attend a very important ritual tonight. I'm sure most of you know what it is?"

Most of the room murmured in agreement.

"For those of you who do not know, tonight is Judgement. Once the sun has set, all of the gods, though at war with each other, will appear. If they do not fight, the War will end in Fernar, and we will be able to move on to another city or town."

He opened the door of the new Marlag Mansion and walked out.

OOC: May I be someone other than Vars for a moment? I was hoping a a Marlag who was a Kel Nu'ur clanner. If not, I'll edit this post.

IC: One of the Marlag, whom Kardin recognized as the bearde half-elf Daer Harrken, an old friend of Vars Kaslerr and former Kel Nu'ur clanner, stood up. "Ladies and gentlemen of the Marlag, I have somewhat disturbing news." He paused, sighing. "The Kel Nu'ur clan has disappeared completely. There's been no sign of Vars Kaslerr, Yarr Jergann, or any Kel Nu'ur clanners for two weeks."

OOC: No prob.

IC: "What?!" shouted Kardin, shaken by this new development. He smacked his forehead.

"If those barbarians have some sort of attack planned out to anger the gods to keep this war alive it'll be over my dead body!"

"I'm afraid that's not the case, sir." Daer frowned upon hearing his clan being called barbarians. "We recently came upon a heap of Gla'en bodies in the Arafantarrum Desert, apparently killed by Kel Nu'ur weaponry. However, it seems that the Gla'ens were the ones attacking, and that the Kel Nu'ur were simply defending themselves." Daer replied. "It seems to me that Kel Nu'ur wants nothing more to do with this war and will only attack if they are attacked first."

"I'm surprised, I thought they loved war. At least they're making an effort not to make the situation any worse. Regardless, we have to make sure nothing goes wrong tonight. Move out."

"Clanners of Kel Nu'ur love and relish war, yet they've had enough." Daer snapped his fingers. "Oh, damn! Last week, I recieved this letter." He removed a piece of parchent and read it aloud. "Kardin Aeronech, I speak for the whole of the Kel Nu'ur clan. Myself and the other two leaders would like to propose an alliance with your Marlag forces, for many of us are anxious to rejoin the battle. We will aid you in your darkest hour. Signed, Vars Kaslerr."

Kardin's face was taken by a look of frustration. "What in the nine bloody hells compelled you to keep this from me?!" He asked, leading his troops out of Fernar. Many people of all the factions were headed the same way.

"I though you'd not like it. After all, many of your men don't think that the Kel Nu'ur are men of their word. They might believe that instead of aiding you, they'll kill you."

"Indeed. I'm not sure if I can trust them. I've never seen Vars write, so I have proof that this writing is his."

The troops headed towards the outskirts of a nearby forest.

"What do the factions plan to do, sir? More importantly, why have only the factions that despise Kel Nu'ur come?" Daer asked.
