Favourite console
 

Out of all of them, what is your favourite console? My favourite is the n64 because the good games I got for it.

You know, when you start a thread asking a question about opinions, it's usually customary to start off answering the question yourself.

While most of my favorite games are scattered throughout many systems, it's hard to pin down a favorite. But I always considered SNES to be my favorite, since that system had everything to offer.

I cannot say I have a faverot system, to me its all about the games. I know a guy who denyed himself FFX because he had something against the PS2 and another man i knew denied himself Harvest moon a wonderful life because he was a sony fanboy. we cant let different ways of playing tear apart gamers and frends. like this

I had a few systems I really loved, The Sega Master System-It got me into RPGs
The PS1- It got me into Final Fantasy n there were tonnes of classic games for it.
The Sega Dreamcast- Skies of Arcadia, Shenmue Shenume 2. Soul Calibur, street Fighter 3..... All great games that too many people missed!

I would probably have to say N64 because it had most of my favorite games on there that I always loved (Ocarina of Time, Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, etc.).

N64 may have first person shooters, but PS2 is king of the rpgs. For that, THPSs, and SSXs, I have to vote for ps2.

My favorite console in console history easily goes to SNES. My favorite current console is a dead heat between PS2 and Gamecube with PS2 probably just barely pulling ahead.

I have to agree with Catmando, though, in that I hate fanboys and do not deny myself any consoles but base my opinions much more heavily on the games themselves. (Hence SNES being my all-time fave).

if it counts, I'd say the PC (exceeds the capabilities of every other piece of gaming equipment... more games, better graphics, modding capability, easier to play online, upgradible)
otherwise I'd pick the SNES (grew up with it, great classics)
with the PS family in 2nd (RPGs and some other good Sci-Fi-ish and racing games)
and the XBOX and N64 tied in 3rd (best for regular console multiplayer with an excellent compliment of games to go with that multiplayer goodness)
