He makes a good point, Celes is the only female around (well, there is batgirl, but I haven't seen her for awhile), and if Krylo or IHMN (and me, except where those two are disgusting, I make jokes) are in the same RP as her, then no romance will happen.

But hey, don't let us stop you from making a RP where you romance NPCs...although that is kinda sad.

That was only memorable for the after Rp discussion where it was decided that elves and dwarves SHOULD NEVER HAVE KIDS.

That, and am I the only one that thinks all of the drama stuff is OBSCENELY angsty? I mean, how often are you going to write some gothic tale of someone trapped in misery forever in an RP?

That's why Raiden should have used a different word then Drama. Everyone thinks they have to make some dramitic, everyone is dying and sad scene. When what Raiden really wanted was any scene that was not a fighting one.

The angst has me in awe.

I have fighting done, now to take care of drama... I'm probably going to connect my RPs too, but it just makes things more interesting if you read the Fighting one first.

I'm almost done with my Drama scene, and oddly enough I didn't choose to make it all angsty. Now I wonder if it really is Drama at all...

Also, part of me wants to put in a fight scene I had planned for the battle of the bands. But, I'm not that evil.

Finally, it's easy to play a romance, but as in real life it takes time. Most people, in RPs, try to force it quickly.

I finished my Drama entree.

I have all but finished my fight entry (I got some suggestions from a friend whome I respect as a writer and want to check if my changes are to his satisfaction). I need to get cracking on my drama, or else it will never get done. *sigh*

I just posted my drama entry, and while somebody did in fact die in it, it was kind of funny. There was definitely no angst involved, I don't think it was as good as my fighting entry though, Its worth a look though, if you like the beach boys.

Judging has already started. The judges read your posts, and then send me their scores. Then, when the contest is over, I'll post up their scores. And the judges are secret, and they come from everywhere in the forum, not just RP people.

And BM, IHMN, SS, and everyone else who decides to go off about J Man's RP where Samoht and Ekoki fell in love, I'm going to clear this up now. It was J Man's idea. He sent me a PM saying "Wouldn't it be cool if Samoht and Ekoki fell in love? That would make a sweet ending!" And I said, "Sure, why not." So, J Man had it that Samoht would get that half-ring, and Ekoki would get the other half. We planned it out. So settle down.

And SS, that sounds like a cool thing. Only maybe not monthly. Probably do it every half year, or every year.

No. Nothing is done. It's just that the judges are already at work. It makes it easier on me, so that my inbox isn't filled to the max next Tuesday. You still have plenty of time. It's just that the judges will be able to judge your post once it's up.

Thankyou. Its just those years of writing being put to good use. I intend to try to expand that one into a short story, but it will be tricky.

Actually, I don't know where that feeling came from in my entry. I was actually in a pretty good mood at the time, but the story that came to me wasn't. In any case, to quote Imhotep (The Mummy): "Death is only the beginning!" Perhaps the RP could be a redemption story, about finding peace.

Could I post mine on Wednesday? I've been busy of late, and I have a medical cover today...

And is it alright if I base it on an already-written work? Or must it be original?

Well, I won't be here Wednesday, or the week after. But sure. Hopefully, the judges will have given me the scores for everyone else by tonight. Then, I'll hopefully be able to post scores tomorrow. I'll then post Dante's scores once I get back.

despite the horrible managing of this undertaking, I think the idea was pretty good. It got people thinking and writing, always good things. (almost always, almost...) In any case, I never intended to put much stock in the ratings anyways, I just want to say that this was a fun little exercise, and that I would like to know if anyone would be interested in a "short story/ RP story" thread. There would be no "judging" as such, just a forum to share creative outbursts and read other people's ramblings. Pm me if you're interested, or just start the thread yourself, I'll definitely post there.
