Akbar is invading other games.

I was playing Dragon Quest VI the other day, which is a quality game but there aren't any leagal means of obtaining one in english, but I came across this. Not only does Akbar make bank in the 8-bit theater world, he rules a town in Dragon Quest VI with an iron-fist. He's a jack-of-all-trades, and he was hard to beat too.

Be warned! He was also in Star Wars. Oh, the spelling was different, and he was more of an alien freak, but it was him. Things he knows how to do best: cheat people and run the hell away.

It's a trap!

Aww yes. Akabars house of traps. (not just boxes with the sticks holding them)

Speechless 07-23-2004 02:47 PM

I belive on some levels, Akbar, is more evil than Blackmage.

But only a couple levels :bmage:

Kurosen 07-23-2004 02:49 PM

Admiral Akbar is the best Star Wars character.

Your all wrong. Chewbacca is. he'll rip you apart alphebeticaly

Chargos 07-23-2004 08:59 PM

Bah, Artoo was the best, he could hack into ANY computer.

And apparently he could fly. I don't know where that one came from. He NEVER had an opportunity to use that later.

Drooling Iguana 07-23-2004 11:03 PM

Well, those rockets really aren't meant to be used in a planet's atmosphere. They're for maneuvering in space in order to repair parts of a ship that cannot be reached from that little socket that Artoo normally sits in. He just used them in the droid factory as a last-ditch effort to save his owner.

But yes, Artoo does kick ass. Although not as much as TK-421, of course.

Kurosen 07-23-2004 11:44 PM

I met Chewbacca at ConnectiCon. Very cool guy.

Akbar still wins, however. He's an admiral.

Kenjar 07-23-2004 11:51 PM

Could General Leo defeat Admiral Akbar?

Drooling Iguana 07-24-2004 12:57 AM

From what I know of the Star Wars EU, no one could defeat Admiral Ackbar.

Except maybe for Admiral Thrawn.

SNAFU 07-24-2004 02:23 AM

Is Admiral Thrawn the one that was killed by Darth Vader in Tie Fighter or was he the one that was killed stealing the cloaking device prototype in the afore mentioned Tie Fighter?

shiney 07-24-2004 05:39 AM

I love how easily I derailed this thread. Even corrupted Brian.

And yes, Ackbar reigned supreme. From the very moment the fleet arrived, all he wanted to do was get the hell out of there.

Ackbar's Rebel Fleet (Not french retreat monkeys)?

Peo 07-24-2004 05:44 AM

Admiral thrawn was actually in the series by timothy zahn, he was the main evil character guy

But I say the best character is Jabba the hut,heh

No, he was the blue/white-skinned guy who led the Empire's forces against Zaarin in the aforementioned Tie Fighter. He outlived Vader.

Bauglir 07-24-2004 05:07 PM

Yes. Thrawn definitely could kick Ackbar's ass. Which he did. Repeatedly.

Note to self: never hire anyone named Rukh after starting up my evil empire...

Nosferatu 07-24-2004 06:33 PM

(stop following starwars long ago) ME SO CONFUSLED!!

Peo 07-25-2004 12:41 AM

it was a good series though

Otaku Son 07-25-2004 02:17 AM

Jabba The Hutt died from his own slave-bitch strangling his fat mass. That's no way to die. But to be a lean man to have your own throat slit open by your personal assassin, that's honorable. Point: Thrawn

h4x.m4g3 07-25-2004 02:44 AM

Lando, I mean he sold out Han Solo then he still gets to fly the Falcon later.

Stoker 07-25-2004 07:24 AM

General Grievous would end them all.

Thrawn didn't have his throat slit. That was Captain Pellaeon, who survived the wound. Rukh left his blade in Thrawn's chest, his last words being: "But it was so artistically done."

Demon = Off topic, spammy nerd!

I'm presuming you meant those were Thrawn's last words, as Rukh went on to live. Anyway, it's been so long since I've read the books, I can't remember everything.

Hell, this whole thread is pretty much off topic. After all, one admin. threw us off-topic, then another admin. carried us off-topic, and a mod. has joined the fun. If the officials are doing it, I don't think there's too much harm.

Drooling Iguana 07-25-2004 11:54 PM

Actually, just because we do something that doesn't mean that the rest of you can. We're above the law, see? Mwahahaha!

Wow! You guys work for APD?

mxyzptlk 07-26-2004 02:32 AM

He has full diplomatic immunity, obviously.

Maverick977 07-26-2004 05:42 AM

Ahh, woe is my weak mind!

Now that's not fair to say. That's like, saying:

This character of infinate evil is more/less evil than this other character of infinite evil! Our mortal minds cannot discern the difference! How dare you attempt to melt my feeble mind by trying to make me comprehend the evils of Akbar or BM? How, I ask?!

Hmmm... On a side note, this computer from Akbar Inc. is slowing down... must finish post. Shop Akbar!

shiney 07-26-2004 07:54 AM

Work for? We are, baby!

I shudder to think of Admiral Akbar, by the way. "Star Destroyers (definitely not Spaceball 1)."
