Is Red Mage actually a Mage?

I ask this question because of one simple fact- Mages cast spells. I challenge anyone give me an example of this man --> :rmage: casting a spell in the comics (no, editing his stats does NOT count as a spell).

Well, he recently cast an illusion spell, and I think there are other examples of past spells as well.

Mikorlias Zard 11-30-2003 04:20 PM

Ah, yeah, the illusion spell, duh...
Methinks I did a Fighter. (:fighter:- "Obviously that means he came up with a cool kick-ass super idea like Sword-chucks!")

I think I'll crawl into a corner to contemplate my own idiocy. :(

He has spells, he just dosen't want to use them, and I think he did use a cure spell once.

Kieran Dineer 11-30-2003 04:34 PM

He uses an ice spell to help them get out of the flaming flying death trap.

Skuzz 11-30-2003 04:41 PM

He cast a light spell in Maytoya's cave.

Alright alright. Don't rub it in.

Methinks that this thread is somewhat redundant. Moderators feel free to delete if need extra bandwidth.

Not really, it's still a good point, if he's a mage why does he use more spells?

Introduction 11-30-2003 06:46 PM

He wants to keep perfection. Thats why.

CheshireThief 11-30-2003 10:07 PM

He says in an earlier comic that if he actually casts a spell, he will use up that spell slot for the day, making him less versatile.
