"It can't be Shavira, unless these people didn't hear the news, Shavira's dead. Sacrifices to dead gods are pointless." The wind spirit mused. He tried to steady his head, but the room still looked very wrong.
|
"Unless you're trying to revive a dead god by giving it sacrifices of enhanced magical energies from the souls of mages," Lucian said calmly as he drew back his hand and created a large bolt of crackling energy which smashed into the wall as he released it.
He watched, seeing how the 'living' wall would react to the electrical currents surging through it. |
"Maybe, but to return a goddess to life, you'd need a lot more than us. Heck, even the top 20 mages in the entire world might not be enough. There's a reason its impressive to kill a god, you know it'll stay down." Jude replied. He took out his boomerangs and floated them around his head, making them fly around in a slow orbit.
|
As the electricity surged through the walls, they seemed to remain looking normal, except for one little fist-sized chunk of the wall, which seemed to jiggle like gelatine and turn slightly darker than the rest of the wall.
Celes looke around, "I don't know, but anything with the name "Shavira" in it can not be good." |
Lucian kicked another one of the corpses apart. "Besides, we are not their first victims... and I doubt we'll be their last," he said with no tint of emotion to his voice as he fired another bolt of electricity directly into the dark portion of the wall.

Kal pulled his sword, and glanced at the cultists. They weren't the best equipped group he'd ever seen. Over their red-robes with copious bloodstains, they had roughly made breasplates that look like it was made from copper hammered into the general shape. The swords seriously looked like random scraps of metal that had been hammered into shape, then badly sharpened several dozen times. It was fairly unlikely they would actually cut, but the smarter fighters knew not to take that risk.
All together, there were about 25 of the cultists, and they'd surrounded the fighters. Kal glanced at his batch, and said, "Not to take charge or anything...but give them hell." One of the nobles that had come along flicked his hair up, and charged, starting to bring his rapier around. Two of the cultists ran at him, clothes-lined him, and when he hit the ground fell onto him and seemed to be trying to eat his face. Kal was a bit shocked. Face-eating was still something he had to get used to. He glanced back at the main circle, and charged in... OOC: Kudos to Celes for her excellent work. If anyone argues with her or gives her heck...they answer to me. Or Dante. But on the grounds I don't like tentacle monsters, you should hope for me. |
Some of the wall Lucian was shooting into fell away, revieling a small, fist-sized hole, in the back there seemed to be a little notch where something could be placed.
Celes looked back at Lucian, "Did you find something? Or are you just randomly blasting at walls?" OOC: Yes. Don't give me attitude, or I will go GM on your ass. Mua ha. heheh. |
"Hey, lemme try somethin."
The boomerangs floated to the front of his face, then began to spin in faster and faster circles, until they became boomerange colored blurs with flashes of metal. "I'll try to cut through the wall." The blurry discs drifted to the walls. |
Axel followed suit, running up to a cultist and, to the cultists surprise, tackling him intead of trying to stab him. A hit to the back of his head from another cultist, followed by a punch to the gut from the one he had tackled, only served to start igniting his anger. Impaling the cultist he had tackled, Axel moved on to the one who had hit him in the head, knowing that one was going to die. What he didn't know was that very small points were beginning to poke out of his arms.

Kay stayed out of the main arena of combat. he was watching intently.
