Her family is crane. She's a refuge, ergo the adopted blood disadvantage and black sheep ones.

She started at 25 points, then you add her two stat points from family and school, that's 41 points (16 of which are forced to be spent on one thing), then you add her disadvantages and you get 61, subtract advantages and you get 57. Add on the skills she HAD to have and you get 62 points (21 of which are forced to be spent on certain things).

And all shugenja get 6 spells plus three basic spells.
