I think hands down worst is Squall...

FF1- Uh... they don't really have personalities, other than the ones 8-bit game them, so I would have to say Red Mage.
FF2&3- didn't play enough to know the characters.
FF4- Probably Cecil. He was pretty cool. ^_^ Or maybe one of the twins.
FF5- Galuf "pretty good memory for someone with amnesia, huh?"
FF6- Celes (duh)
FF7- Aeris (so sue me. I know I lot of people didn't like her. ^^ )
FF8- Quistis
FF9- Steiner or Vivi
FF10- Auron
FF10-2- Paine

And my favorite of all is... *drumroll* Celes! (gee, who would have guessed?)

Yes... That guy... He made everyone turn out to just be crappy puppets(Litteraly everyone...)

Squall isn't the worst, Aeris is... I'm so glad she died... And it looked painful... Very, very painful...

I bet halfway through the game, the developers realized how crappy she was, but they were to far in, so they just killed her off...

Aeris wasn't all that bad. Definately not the most horrible character.
Oh yeah, if we are counting bad guys too, Sephiroth would be my fav from FFVII.

I didn't think Quistis was a lesbian. but of course, I haven't played FFVIII in a long time, si I don't quite remember what she acted like.

I personally think that Final Fantasy 11 should have only been called Final Fantasy Online. Oh, and Final Fantasy 12 is shaping out to be a good game if it's set in the Tactics world.

And the makers of X-2 should be dragged out AND SHOT.

BM, you have led a deprived childhood if you never played FFVI. The only recommendation I can give give is go and buy it now, you won't be disappointed.

That paper the guy wrote about FF7 was really messed up. I haven't read it, but I saw a forum thread on it, and from what the people were saying, that just sounded idiotic the weak and crazy links he came up with.

I liked a bunch of characters from 6 and 7, good and bad guys (Kefka and Sephiroth were the best FF villians ever IMO), after that I can't think of any characters I really like other than Auron. I don't know if I can pick an all time favorite, but I agree that I didn't like Squall much.

The draw system is a twisted device created only for torture purposes. Also, you can beat the entire game by only summoning you GF's constantly, so the FFVIII system was just horrible overall. I like the FF6 version the most for magic and such.
