"Oh goody." Kyoji said in response to the Taisa's orders. This wqas quickly followed by a choking sound his captors tugged on his neck with their man catchers.

Shiba, one of them pinned his neck to a rock as the other got chains. When the chain retreiver returned, they shackled his wrist and ankles. During that process Doi, the other scout, had grabbed Kyoji's wrist as he put the shackle on. When he took his hand off he noticed slight burn marks across his hand (I doubt 1 damage would do much).

"The spiders vemon you were warned about." Kyoji mumbled to the scout as he grinned. This was quickly followed by a grunt as Doi hit him over the head with a chain.

Once Kyoji's arms and legs were chained and shackled, the two scouts took a hold of the ends of the chains. Doi held the arms while Shiba held the legs.

Dai was feeling very lucky after not getting hit. He ran as fast as he could up to the samurai trying to shoot him and aimed for his leg. He knew he should kill him, but knowing the exact location of the enemy's fort would be better. He just hoped he wouldn't get punished for not slaying the samurai.

ooc: Aiming for the leg, raise included (I think that's how it works, still kinda confused).

After stabbing into the ground, Dai cursed to himself. "Don't kill him, we can use him!" he yelled to his two partners, hoping they would actually listen.

ooc: I know you probably won't, but please don't kill me krylo. I'll... uh... do something good for you, I don't know.

Taken took his katana and hacked down into the shaft of Dai's spear, put the blade wouldn't go all the way through, instead becoming imbedded a short distance in. A frown spread over Taken's face underneath his mempo, and he quickly rotated his wakizashi to drive the point of it into the lion's hand, severing tendon and bone, to leave a hole just above the man's palm, and then pulled it out, simultaneous to his katana, as he turned to face the other three, assuming that Dai was no longer much of a threat with one of his hands destroyed.

The mountain was hard on them. Raiden continued to climb higher the hours passed. Raiden's muscles burned from climbing the steep stair. The top was getting near.

"Raiden-san, we must rest. Kuyuden and myself are faltering, and it's obvious that even you are feeling the strain. I do not wish to slow down when we are so close to our goal... but I fear pushing ourselves too much further will result in an accident."

"We haven't much time to waste, but we can risk a break to catch our breath." Raiden slumped onto a step and pulled out a well worn bamboo water bottle. He handed it to Kenren.

"Domo, Raiden-san."

Kenren uncapped the bottle and took a mouthful, not swallowing it straight away, then passed the flask to Kuyuden, who did not show Kenren's restraint and gulped down almost half of it, then promptly started coughing from the shock to his system. Kenren patted his yojimbo on the back, then turned to Raiden.

"Raiden-san, I must ask. Why have the Lion attacked? I have not read the contents of the letter you sent, but I sense it must be a major incursion, yet the Lion do not attack lightly."

Keiko glanced at the prisoner once he was chained. It was time to have a little interrogation, "First off, what is your name?" Her face took on a inquizative expression as she noticed the burns on her scouts hands from touching the prisoner. Dismissing her last question she went on, "And why did he get burns when he put the chains on you?"
