Katsu saw that two of his fellow Dragons were fighting of the lions, and at close range combat. He was tempted to hurry back and help them out, but there were too many lions. He spotted three against the two of them. Hold them off for a while so that I can get some help. Please live...

OOC: I know I need to get back to home base, but how long will it take me to get there?

As Taken ducked the blow from his second attacker he spun on the ground and caught the uninjured lion who had yet to strike in the back of his ankle with his wakizashi. The blade hit at an odd angle and got caught in the man's armor, doing little damage, but the force still followed completely through, sweeping the man's legs out from under him. The bushi landed on his back a moment later, as Taken continued to spin while rising to his feet. This time he angle his katana up and slashed through the leg of the Lion who had been foolish enough to attack his throat.

His blade was a flash of light and blood as it cut cleanly through armor, bone, muscle, and tendon, severing the leg in a gout of blood which sprayed it's warm, thick nectar onto the combatants as it's ex-owner lost his balance, now being suddenly one leg short, and fell to the ground.

Taken finished the spin facing the last uninjured enemy who was still on his feet.

Sakuma moved from house to house destroying anything that could be used as a weapon. Yelling at peasants to "Submit under the power of the Lions or Forfeit your lives." It seemed to scare most of them enough that there wasn't too much resistance from them.
He went in one of the fields and pulled up an onion and took a bite. Thinking about what his next course of action will be.

"Move it!" Shouted Sakuma having to pull a peasant from underneath some steps and actually through him into the road. "Just cooperate and you won't be harmed." Sakuma, Shenlong and Taiba started gathering all the villagers and moving them towards the center in a big group.

Two children hiding in a basket gave him some trouble. "Come on little ones." Sakuma said to the two of them has he lifted them both up one in each arm and carried them to join the others.

"If I knew I was going to have to do manual labor I would have stayed home" laughed Shenlong." as he forced another peasant out of his home while leading two others. Sakuma nodded without expression and continued working.

Tain dew came upon the fellow dragon and the last standing lion. He threw 2 knives and prepared to run or defend himself.

If you haven't been able to tell (Which you apparently haven't), this is a stat based RP. Notice that every time some one does something, combat related, Jad makes a post with a bunch of numbers in them. Then he tells the person if what they were doing succeeded or failed, and how much of it.

You on the other hand had your character jump into combat, instantly kill another PC, then do several more actions of combat all in one turn (1 action per turn).

Raiden and his associates were on the path back to the Hidden fortress. He walked through the cavern to find a squad of Lion soldiers One holding the banner of the Lion medium Elite.

Raiden drew his swords.

"You must be the Dragon Crane. We were told you lived in this area. The empress has given us her blessing. To stand against us you defy her will."

"Having met her divine highness personally I doubt she would see it that way."

"I am Ikoma Nimuro, Chui of the medium elite, slayer of Hida Toshiken, and Shiba Takuan. Standard Bearer of the medium elite."

"I am Mirumoto Raiden, Taisa of the Dragon Clan, Magistrate of the Emerald Empire."

Raiden resheathed his swords Nimuro planted his Standard. The two walked up to each other they fell into their iaijutsu stance. It soon becam apparent that Nimuro was far out classed. Nimuro however failed to see it. Raiden stayed in his stance.

A breathe blew some leaves between the two unmoving samurai. A sweat drop fell into Nimuro's eyes causing him to blink. (6 focuses Raiden declares strike TN 35 3+4=7 Nimuro misses. Raiden 18+18+11+5+5=57 Hit. Damage 25+8=33) Nimuro pulled his sword clean but not before Raiden sliced Through Nimuro's armor and pulled his sword from the ribs of his opponent. Nimuro fell over gasping for breath.

The Lion's readied their Yari. Raiden drew his wakizashi. He grimaced and sighed.

Taken continued to split his attention between the two remaining lion bushi, his katana striking out toward one, even while his wakizashi arched toward the other. Unfortunately his katana was easily deflected by the man's armor, but his wakizashi bit deeply into the arm of the other, releasing a splattering of blood across the valley floor. Taken stepped back after striking, preparing to dodge the attacks that were sure to come.

The Lion troops realized this warrior far out striped them. They held their ground but attempted to pull their injured ally. They kept their spears trained on the dragon samurai, Taken.

Sakuma looked at the frightened and tear filled eyes of the villagers of whom he rounded up. For a moment he thought what am I doing?. He dismissed it and continued. "Well I think that's the last of them" said Shenlong

Sakuma: "Yes I think I'll patrol the outter perimeters now. Join me?"

Shenlong: "All right." The two left the village and started to skim the outter boundaries for stragglers.

ooc:i didnt know there was a lion pc involved with taken. i thought i was attacking a npc spearman. so...am i dead again or did my knife just miss and im standing there?

Taken pointed his Katana at the knife throwing man who had shown up to help him, while keeping his wakizashi toward the retreating lion troops. "Pull back. I will follow and show you the way shortly," the ex-ronin ordered as he gestured his katana behind him and watched the retreating lions, to be sure that they planned on retreating and not attacking his back when he turned to leave.

(OOC: There's your answer. You were standing there. But only for a second or two. Also, just be sure that you either a) leave it open as to whether you hit and how much damage you do so that JAD can do the rolls or b) tell JAD what you plan to do, either in PMs or some other way so he can do the rolls. That's mostly what you did wrong. The PC there (lazy man's guy, who has a hole in his hand already) is secondary.)

As the remainder of the bushi circled the three of them warily, Kenren briefly contemplated releasing the wrath of Osano-Wo upon them. Then he discarded that strategy inf avor of another, better plan.

"Wait a while Raiden-san. I think I may be of assistance to you in the upcoming battle. Kuyuden, cover me!"

As the yojimbo moved in front of him, Kenren unfurled the scroll and began reading from it, calling out to the kami of fire and wrath who roiled invisibly around the battlefield. Catching the attention of one such spirit, he enjoined it with the customary placations and entreaties..

Noble lord of Fire, lend your fearsome wrath to the blows of my allies. Help him in his struggle to defend ourselves against this present danger! Grant him the furious power of Lady Sun, and the full rancor of the inferno!

OOC: Cast spell: Fires of Purity, targeting Mirumoto Raiden, raise once to increase spell duration and once to decrease casting time by one action)

Raiden burst into blazing flames. The lion took step back from the burning warrior. Raiden stood in the flames and was not consumed. His honorable soul fueling them.

Raiden Leapt forward. The light of his fire causing the Lion to attempt to defend themselves. (Attack Lion 1: Tn 20+10=30 13+12+7+6+6+5=49
damage 17+12+9-5=33 dead.) The burning katana stuck the samurai cleaving him from hip to shoulder. (Lion 2 Tn20+10=30 9+9+7+7+7+7=46 Damage: 17+9+7-5-=28 dead) Raiden's wakizashi impaled the lion though the chest on his wakizashi.

Taken arrived above the fortress on the mountain just as the battle was beginning to break out, and saw Raiden, Kenren, and Kuyuden being surrounded by 20 lions, but he was still too far away to join the battle. He quickly, but discreetly, drew down his bow and slid down the mountain face, watching as Raiden dispatched three of the 20 lions with ease before any of them could strike at them. However, he knew the odds were too far against the three men without a little bit of help, even with Raiden's impressive skill, and so he continued down, trying to get into archery range without attracting undue attention to himself.

"The name of a ronin is of no importance, but it's Togashi Kyoji." He said in response to the first question before responding to the second. "And he burned because he touched a spider's venom. Spiders are venomous, I have a spider, I am venomous."

(ooc: 9+9=18 miss Tn30)

A Lion bushi attempted to skewer Raiden. Raiden moved to dodge the attack.

"Kenren-san, watch out!"

Kuyuden's yari whirled once as he unlimbered it from his back, then, gripping it firmly in both hands, he rushed the Lion bushi who had just missed Raiden, driving the long weapon at the man in an attempt to impale him upon its point of Phoenix steel.

(ooc: Two void points used as per the shiba rank one techniqu agility raised to 4 for the turn. Tn 20 18+14+6+3+4=45 Damage 15+9+4=28 dead)

Kuyuden quickly impaled the Lion through the heart the Lion falling. as soon as the spear was removed.

The other lion's attempted to impale Raiden. Raiden deflected and dodged every attack.

One of the lion avenged the death of his squadmate by slashing Kuyuden's arm.

Kenren tucked the scroll that contained the incantations for the Fires of Purity back into his obi, then drew another scroll, holding it to the heavens with both hands as he began to intone the mystic syllables inscribed on it. Thunder rolled, echoing in the valleys, and above him the storm clouds began forming, roiling in a circular vortex above his head.

Fortune of Fire and Thunder, your lesser aided me previously, now I beseech you, grant me your power, grant me your anger, grant me your fury, and aid me in striking these Lions down!

A bolt of lightning shot from the sky, earthing itself in the upraised arms of Kenren...

OOC: Cast spell: Fury of Osano-Wo. Raise 3 times, once for casting time, twice to strike multiple Lions. Original TN was 5 - after 3 raises it is 20. I'll finish the description after JAD rolls the dice.

Katsu arrived at the hidden fortress only to see that none of his friends had come back from the hike to the torch. He took a breath thinking about what he should do. Knowing that the battle behind him was too fierce, he knew that going back there was not an option. Staying here was no good, for he wasn't doing anything. Running and hiding was also not an option. He made his decision and decided to seek Raiden-sama and his crew. Rushing out of the hidden fort, he would soon see lions surrounding the small team. He knelt down and waited for the right moment to strike.

The lightning flew from his finger tips Striking the nearest lion and bouncing from him to another.

The thunderstruck samurai stumbled in their attacks. A third missed his attack on Kenren.

Raiden (Tn 30 17+13+9+9+7+5=55 Damage 16+9+9+6-5=35 ) struck the first one struck by lightning. his head went flying. Raiden leapt back and attacked the one who had tried to kill his friend. (Attack the one attacking Kenren 4 raises. 17+8+8+8+7+5=53 Damage 18+15+8=41) His wakizashi cutting through the armored warrior.

Taken had fallen behind a rock formation and fired off an arrow toward the lion forces, paying little attention to which he aimed at, as that there were so many still standing that missing would be rather difficult so long as he aimed into their greatest concentration.

Once the arrow had flown off toward it's destination, he drew another and stepped from behind the rocks, sliding down the mountain a bit further to a closer outcropping, making his way down the mountain as he fought.

The arrow flew striking the last victim of the thunderer putting him out of his misery.

Taindew followed as close to the bowman as possible without hindering his process. He decided to wait til they were closer to break off and get within range of his knives. "I think we need to move quicker, i cannot be of any use this far away."

Two Lions looked up the hill towards Taken and charged.

"Ill hide right over there, see if i cant get a better angle and maybe hit them from behind." Taindew moved off a little to the right and hid behind a large rock and watched the lions charge his fellow dragon.

Katsu positioned himself next to Taindew. "If you can grab their attention... I can help you out."

"Sounds good" Taindew watched as the two men were well within lethal range. He grabbed a two knives aimed for the closest one so as to leave one for one of his allies. "Fly true, my metal bee's"

Taindew threw a rock towards the men to attract attention and then took off away from the dragons planning to circle around after a while.

Samehada gleamed as Kenren drew it, then spun in a quick circle before the shugenja, settled into a strong, two-legs apart posture, katana in an upper guard posture, levelled at a nearby Lion.

Kenren charge a nearby Lion silently, the point of is curved weapon seeking the man's neck.

OOC: Physical attack on a nearby Lion, raise 3 times to strike his head/neck.

ooc: Tn 35 23+19+8=50 Damage 15+12=27 dead. Two left.

Taken saw the two charging and closed his eyes for just a moment, connecting to his center, before he opened them and took aim, firing first one and then a second arrow in quick succession, aiming at the men's knees.

The arrows struck both lions in the right kneecap. Collapsing them.

Raiden, Kenren carried Kuyuden, who had been injured.

"We move for Heaven's Stair. Carry those who can't make it unaided." Raiden said.

The lightning storm Kenren had summoned would slow down the Lions.

A smile was too apparent on Katsu's face. The two guards making a charge on the archer dropped down because of the arrows, the best part was that they didn't die. Sure they were the enemy, but a life is something one doesn't have the power to take, or should be allowed to anyway. Looking to the sky and seeing the thunder moving in, he knew there was no more use here. No fighting, that was good, yet bad all in one. He stood upright and headed for the archer, "Taken-sama? Are you ok to move?"

Taken nodded and stood, slinging his bow onto his shoulder. "I could stand to rest, but I am otherwise uninjured. There is no reason to worry for my well being." Taken's eyes moved over Katsu's body quickly as he spoke, looking for injuries, and was satisfied when he found none, nodding once more before beginning the hike down to meet Raiden and the others, whom he was relieved to see were also uninjured, except for Kuyuden.

"It is good to see you Kenren-sama, although these are not the best of times." Taken pointed to Kuyuden with his gloved right hand. "Would you prefer to put the weight on my shoulders?"
