Fire Emblem

Anyone here ever play Fire Emblem: Rekka no Ken? I personally like it a lot and have beaten it twice now. In my last play-through I tried to get Kent and Farina to support level A, but it wasn't working. Otherwise I am a master tactician. If you have any questions or comments, let me hear/read them. :fighter:

I have played it and beaten it once, currently playing through the other lords' quest (I want to say his name is Marcus but I don't remember it has been a month since I played it last). What do you mean it wasn't working? You can go on gamefaqs.com and get the exact number of turns you need to have them together. Are you sure that neither Farina nor Kent has an A level support already. If so, then they can't get a second.

I almost completely missed the whole support thing the first time I played. I only got Marcus and the main lord (forgot his name) support on like the second to last level. This time through I'm being more delibrate about getting more supports.

I played it to around chapter 25ish, I forgot which mission. I realized I forgot to get a character (The horse archer guy), and I hate missing things in games so I restarted. Then I got bored and quit.

I'm the same way, the first time through I screwed up and missed Legault or someone, so I started over, now I'm to about mission 25 or so, still going. I LOVE the fire emblem series though, and I can't wait for the Gamecube fire emblem that's coming out next year.

I accidentally killed Dart the first time and missed getting Lucius the second, so my first full play-through took a while. :fighter:

My first play through was incredibly difficult. I didn't really get the hang of it, so I would sporiadically lose a character. One of the most devistating was I had the knight who came along with marcus at like level 17 or 18 then he died in Jaffar's level (something like the 3rd stage from the end) that made the going really, really tough at the end.

I'm normally for going though the first time doing my best but not reading any faqs and not reloading. Especially in FE, I thought it really made it fun. It felt like I was in the story more. One guy in particular I'm really liking that I missed in the first playthrough was Guy (no pun intended). This swordsman is really kicking butt in my 2nd go round.

I'm not really a big fan of either Dart or Lucius. I haven't played Dart much so I can't really comment much on him. My healer is Priscilla(sp?) she is mounted which lets her move from group to group to heal faster. Always a good thing.

If some one dies do you generally start over? I do or I feel bad (Yes, it sounds childish). My best units tend to be my cavalieres and mages. My first playthrough i used mostly pre-class changed people, like Marcus, but thatr made my lords relly weak at the end. Also for some reason, my Hectors keep having high speed stats. :fighter: transformed to :rmage: temporarily.

I always started over when I lost a character. I was playing on an emulator though, so save states made it a lot easier.

My favorite/best characters were the three Lords (Hector and the girl more-so then the other Lord), Guy and Jafar (Fastest characters who can actually do damage, sinc ethe other two thieves/assassins didn't do very good damage), then mages (They were all good so I picked random ones).

HEY! That's cheap... I know what you mean, though. :fighter:

The only lord I really liked was Hector. I can see Lyn being good, but I felt that she needed too much support to be worth it. I don't like Eliwood much either but after you upgrade him he gets a horse so he is useful if you need to move fast.

The characters I gravitate to are
Hector, Oswin (both awesome tanks),
Guy(brings the pain, and dodges a lot),
Priscilla (healer that can move, upgraded can use anima)
Canas - good for all those stinking mages and black magic rocks
Heath and Fiora - for air power
Rebecca - anti-air and long range
Matthew - gotta have a thief
then I vary the rest.
