Bad Directors

Uwe Boll is fast becoming my least favorite director. You know him from his stunning work on the House of the Dead movie, which should've been just a fun zombie-killin' waste of time, but he managed to screw it up. Check out the new Alone in the Dark teaser trailer

The man ruins what ever he can get his hands on. After Alone in the Dark he's making a Bloodrayne movie (with Kristanna Loken and Ben Kingsley) followed by a Far Cry movie.

Aside from Dr. Uwe Boll, I harbor an intense dislike for Joel "Bat Nipples" Schumacher and the jury is still out on Paul W.S. Anderson and his bizarro decision to make Alien Vs Predator PG-13.

Any directors you people don't like?

Whoever directed Dennis Leary's "The Job."

The camera work made me want to beat someones face in. Zoom in, out, in, out, in, out... all within the frame of 2 seconds. BASTARD!

George Lucas, cause he can't leave his movies alone.

BITE YOUR TOUNGE!

I speak for all SW fans when I say:

"Yes the last two movies sucked, but at least they don't hav pauly shore."

I've got to chime in with George Lucas, but Spike Lee is right down there too.
I can't think of one that has only done only really bad movies, only of some that seemed to be good and then ruined it, since I usually learn my lesson.

1.) Steven E. de Souza for his shit films; Tomb Raider 2, Street Fighter Beverly Hills Cop 3, and that Commando movie which was only good for its action and quips and not its acting.

Edit: Ok, Tomb Raider 2 wasn't as bad as 3 listed after it but still it was a movie topic better left untouched. That and I forgot to add this guy made other movies that weren't important enough to remember.

2.) Whoever's thinking of making a DBZ movie (which I saw on the site) with real actors. I remember Kenyroku_Maxis saying in a thread no matter how much you gel your hair and style the clothes you're not gonna look like an anime character, and I agree.

Edit: I also forgot to mention that no one can match the DBZ script as well as the writer so anyone who tries will just blow a couple million dollars writing something that sucked. So to those directors thinking of this, fuck off, it'll bomb.

3.) Raja Gosnell alone for his work on Home Alone 3. I don't care if he directed the first; no one needed to see that.

Joel Schumacker. Not only did he ruin the Batman movie line, but he now has his claws in "The Phantom of the Opera." I think that this sums up my feelings about this upcoming "movie."

Squishy Cheeks 08-11-2004 08:50 PM

What blackmail does that man have on Warner Brothers that they keep letting him make movies?

I remember Uwe Boll from a movie called "Black Woods", which wasn't half bad, except that it was pieced together from elements of, most notably, Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Fight Club. Dammit, I knew I should've watched House of the Dead when I had the chance.

And I join the circle of Those Who Severely Dislike Joel Schumacher. The reasons, I believe, are clear. Batman. Robin. Flatliners. Frickin' Bad Company. That last one made me vow to never watch one if his movies ever again.

I could tell you a bunch of bad finnish directors, but you wouldn't know them anyway...If was to name a known bad director it would have to be...Michael Bay. I donät like his movies. And now that I think of it...there is one finnish director you all might now, nad he is bad...atleast his movies are. His name is...Renny Harlin.

I never thought George Lucas was that great, but he's not too bad either, he just gets a little carried away with the special effects and stuff.
